MEMORABLE Quote of the Day - Rick Santorum

“I want to create every opportunity for women to be able to serve this country … but I do have concerns about women in front-line combat. I think that could be a very compromising situation, where people naturally may do things that may not be in the interest of the mission because of other types of emotions that are involved. It already happens, of course, with the camaraderie of men in combat, but I think it would be even more unique if women were in combat.” ~Rick Santorum 02-09-12
What the ....? Do you think he's trying to steal the female vote away from Newt?

well you never know..pms and all.

Another favorite quote can be found in his book when he said that women went to work outside the home and left their children in day care or whatever because they bought the feminist line of the 60s...Well, I am not married to a rich Senator turned lobbyist. I went to work to make money. But then I am sure that my place really is in the bedroom or the kitchen.

Are those Rick's entourage standing behind him? Or inmates at the asylum?

Bosman, you rock. Love your Kool Aid Glass Jug with hopes and dreams of "change"

Women = Emotions

This guy is straight out of the Victorian era, only he doesn't even get it. It's all here: suppressed sexual desires, fainting spells, smelling salts, confinement to bed, inability to travel outside the home without a companion or chaperone, and no career except to mirror the accomplishments of one's husband (who, by law, owned all the property).

Rick, Rick. You don't think you're saying this stuff, but you ARE, man. Women like me are never going to vote for you, because you are such a turn-off.

Apparently, Mr. Santorum know a lot more about women than you guys.

Amazing that Santorum has never even been in the military and has NO first hand knowledge to support his 'new views' But hey he's just an extremist and this is just a rather extreme comment from this guy!!

This type of lack of self control is both Noot-esque, dangerous and isnt is quite similiar to how Santorum created his google problem? Looks to me like another instance lacking self control on his wacky opinions!!

Love the photoshop of the foot smack dab in his mouth! LoL!

Ohio Joe...Oh yeah? I am a woman. So, please spare me the lectures.

Ohio JOE said...

Haha, shhhhh, you might be a woman, but are you married to one? Oh nevermind.

OJ, you're not even stupid, you're a caricature of stupid.

Ohio JOE (at 9:54 am), your comment to Terrye is vile.

You display exactly what women who dare to speak their minds have always confronted: A MALE WHO BELITTLES THEM BY CASTING DOUBT ON THEIR SEXUALITY.

It's one of the oldest put-downs in history, and one of the ugliest.

"your comment to Terrye is vile." Oh please, you Romneyites like to dish it out, but when you get it back, you hide under anonymous. BTW, it is funny that your camp is standing up for women all of a sudden. Better late than never.

Ohio JOE, my saying (at 11:51 am) that "your comment to Terrye is vile" has to do with YOU -- and not with Romney or any other candidate.

BTW, your silly insult against those of us who choose to write under the identity "Anonymous" (one of 4 permitted options below) is petty. In reality, we're ALL "Anonymous" here. That's the thrill and peril of the free-fire zone of an Internet blog. Our avatar, if we adopt one (Ohio JOE, Doug in NYC GOP, Bosman, Publius Nemo, etc.), is as much a cover-up of our true identity as the more traditional "No Name": Anonymous.

Let's allow everyone who has an opinion speak it, for better or for worse. And not imply that putting a fictional tag like "Ohio JOE" or "RightWingNut" on a comment makes it somehow more authentic.

Ohio JOE said...

"has to do with YOU -- and not with Romney or any other candidate." Of course it does Mr. Romney because you cannot defend your own 'vile' comments. Good Day, sir.

I think Santorum went below the line when he mentioned about following a 60s feminist route regarding leaving a child to a daycare facility just to work. He forgot the essence of working to earn more money. It doesn't take an attorney for child in day care to figure out the difference.
