Just put it between your knees, gals

I'm sorry for the crassness of this post, but here it is:
Foster Friess, the money behind Rick Santorum's Super PAC, offered his own inexpensive alternative to the more-traditional contraception methods that have become the center of a political firestorm. On MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reporters, Friess suggested that "Back in my days they used bayer aspirin for contraceptives," adding, "The gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly."

The full quote:
"I get such a chuckle when these things come out. Here we have millions of our fellow americans unemployed, we have jihadist camps being set up in Latin America, which Rick has been warning about, and people seem to be so preoccupied with sex. I think that says something about our culture. We maybe need a massive therapy session so we can concentrate on what the real issues are. And this contraceptive thing, my gosh, it's such inexpensive. Back in my days, they used Bayer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly."

Why don't we just quit now, and save ourselves more trouble. That's the way I feel when I see this stuff. Maybe I need a new hobby.

I heard that both Friess and Adelson were former Romney backers, or at least favorable to him.

Let's hope they both stay far far away.

Thanks for the vid, Bos.

Is Friess stupid, or did he do this on purpose to tank his own candidate?

Friess has come out with some derogatory LDS statements. You sure he backed Romney at some point?

Your point is valid, however. An article was posted to drudge yesterday that claimed Adelson was going to pump Gingrich's SPAC to bring Santorum down. Gingrich is being played like a pawn by Adelson. Is Friess doing the same?

More caveman politics. Who needs government talking contraception? Get out of our wallets and bedrooms. Judas!

Machtyn, I thought I read it somewhere, but I'm not sure.

I wonder if SNL will try to dramatize Friess' unique method of birth control? (With friends like these, Rick . . .)

are we allowed to call someone an asshole on this site? Because that's exactly what this reborn creep is.

Not sure Friess was ever a Romney backer. He is a hardcore Evangelical that is hard on Mormons.

He has stated he'll happily fund Romney if the nominee.

Romney and Adelson have a good relationship and sfter super Tuesday Newt's money spigot get's turned off.

Romney now has all the Texas money behind him, will soon have Friess and Adelson too, then aggressively on to Obama's retirement.

I agree that this post is crass; however, Rick has a real problem on his hands. His devout Catholic views on contraception will be respected by others of good character, but his inability to articulate them is very bad. Now, I realize this post is about a backer of Santorum, but talk about scaring the women away, this is like bringing out a tank and blasting away.

We have got to move the Republican primary back to the economy and jobs. I know that the socons are reluctant to do this, but this contraception issue will kill us in a general. The HHS regulations are stifling to religious freedom. We will all fight them together. Let's move on.

I can't believe this man actually said this on t.v.!
