In Case You Missed It...

Donald Trump Takes Credit For Mitt Romney’s Big Win In Nevada
“There was a lot riding on that particular race in Nevada and it was interesting, because the numbers were much, much greater than you thought,” Trump gloated. “And a lot of people are giving me credit for that. And I will accept that credit.”

Now that the Romney campaign has successfully destroyed Newt Gingrich, their attack machine is now zeroing in on Rick Santorum.
...The campaign has sent out three press releases attacking the former Pennsylvania senator in the past 24 hours — and is trotting out lead-surrogate former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty to attack Santorum in a conference call this afternoon....

Santorum responds..."This is typical Romney..."

Mark Levin has had enough of Romney's perpetual smear campaign.
"...If Romney is the nominee, we're actually going to have two candidates running for President who do not want to discuss their record...."

"....How about spending $15 million on why we should vote for you, not why we should vote against one of the other Republicans."

Running out the clock?

Mitt Romney Hasn’t Answered A Question From A Voter In Three Weeks
The last time Romney took audience questions, Jan. 13 in Hilton Head, S.C., he got two off-the-wall ones. A girl doing a science project on germs wanted to know how many hands he shakes and how often he washes his hands. (He said he washes regularly and uses Purell sanitizer, too, “just to make sure.”) And an older woman asked whether he believes in “the divine saving grace of Jesus Christ.” (He said he did.)

I dont know why Romney camp even feels the need to go after Santorum, he has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination, (although I like and will support Santy if he were to be the nominee).

Smear campaign? Gee I thought it was called "vetting". After all, people have been after Romney for months and months and I don't hear him crying and whining.

And btw, I don't give a rat's ass what they cry baby belly aching bag of wind Mark Levin says..Romney does not take orders from him.

Santorum has been harping on Romney for months and now that Romney responds he's "smearing" Mr. Santorum? Double standard leaps to mind. But media aside, at least Santorum has not gone Newtlear. I give him credit for running a pretty clean campaign. Let's not dig him because the media has gone after Romney. I hope that they can stay above the fray.

Mark levin, mitt does not need your vote so you can be bitter and trash him all you want. Mitt will win with or without you.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Newt Gingrich destroyed himself.

Santo whines and complains anytime someone highlights his record. It's just fine for Santo to go for Mitt's jugular all the time on HC because that's his record, but the moment Romney highlights Santo's record that's a smear? Man up buttercup. There's a big reason Santo is the last ABR standing, there's not much to him to recomend him and vetting him has largely been a waste of time. He's going nowhere fast.

Wow, commentors, your "road rage" is showing badly here. I think you need to review the Conservative Values list & realign yourselves to the positive side. If "win at all costs" is in belief system, may I suggest you join the Obama team. Some of you have gone over from adversories to extremists.

The race is shaping up to be a competitive one, especially if Mitt continues going to the debates. Newt is becoming irrelevant as a candidate, but he'll be hammering Mitt constantly in the debates and he's made it clear that he has no desire whatever to be honest in any forum.

Santorum has taken the baton from Newt and is now receiving the backing of the ABR crowd. Newt became too radio active and has been abandoned. Combined w/the fact that Santorum has largely received no public vetting, he currently looks like a real candidate. And since Newt will continue hogging the spotlight w/his Mitt-hate, it's going to be much more difficult to vet Santorum than it might have otherwise been.

That said, Mitt again needs to realize he's in a real race still and he needs to call Newt out on his lies. And he needs to clearly point out that Santorum has been attacking him relentlessly for weeks despite his lack of a legitimate plan and despite his own big-government, pro-union record.

We can't have another post-NH two-week period.

Lionhead: "Some of you have gone over from adversories to extremists."

Please include yourself in that list Lionhead. In your "extreme" attempt to discredit Mitt you gave substantially false information about Romneycare. You clearly did not understand the legislation, yet you were willing to post on it as an authority. That is dishonest. It is your duty to know about the topic on which you publish.
