Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman, all want to be PACIFIED

It seems that rules should not apply to Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.

So I guess as far as they're concerned, it's a case of "throw the baby out with the bath water":

Four of the candidates not on the GOP primary ballot in Virginia are joining Rick Perry's law suit to have their names added. In a letter today to the Virginia Republican Party and Board of Elections, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman all gave noticed that they'll join the suit.

So the rules were ok, before they failed to fulfill the requirements to get on the ballot?

I just don't see any upside here for the Republicans in Virginia. Perception is half of reality. The GOP looks like a bunch of crooks or, at least, jerks who can't decide on the rules of the game till after it's played.

Reports are that Virgina's AG Ken Cuccinelli (future GOP gubernatorial candidate) is trying to push through emergency legislation to change the state primary rules after the fact. Can you imagine how wild talk radio would be if a Democrat AG were doing the same thing to save his party's bacon in a swing state?

Also, in running for governor next time, I believe Cuccinelli will be opposing Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, who heads up the Romney campaign in VA. Hmmm . . .

All in all, this whole episode is an embarrassment to the GOP candidates who failed to qualify for the VA primary ballot ("the pacifists," according to Bosman's picture) and to the VA political party that fails to stand behind its own rules.

Virginia is a critical state in 2012. I'm feeling queasy about the entire sorry mess. It can only help Obama.

You would think that if Ron Paul could get on the ballot, the rest of them could as well if they had it together.

These 5 clowns are against an entitlement society.

A little hypocritical under these circumstances, don't you think?
