Rick Perry Does Not Qualify to Appear on the Virginia Primary Ballot

It has been reported in various places that Rick Perry failed to present enough legitimate signatures to qualify to appear on the Virginia primary ballot. While he turned in 11,911 signatures, and only 10,000 were needed, enough of them were proven to be invalid as to invalidate his petition.

Other candidates also failed the requirements to appear on the ballot, including Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, and Jon Huntsman. Newt Gingrich turned in 11,050 signatures, but they are still in the process of determining if enough of them are valid. Since Perry turned in over 800 more signatures than Gingrich, and his petition was denied, I'm wondering what Gingrich's chances of success are.

Here is a LINK to the story.

Gingrich turned in even fewer than Perry.

You need at least 400 valid signatures for each county.

This could come down to Romney and Paul there.

Romney wins!

Actually, Perry only turned in 4-6,000. The initial reports were not accurate.

According to foxnews.com, Newt Gingrich failed to meet the requirements, and is also off the VA ballot.
