Quote Of The Day - Doug NYC GOP: "Nobody wants Sarah Palin's Endorsement"

Really?

Last night, while speaking with Sean Hannity, Palin praised Rick Santorum for his "ideological consistency." That's a far cry from an endorsement, but don't tell that to Rick...

Immediately following the interview, the Santorum campaign fired off the following email:
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said that last night on Fox News about me, and I wanted to make sure you heard about it as well.
I am grateful for those kind words from a strong conservative like Governor Palin. And it’s becoming more clear that other conservatives are starting to rally around our message of passionate conservatism.

Later today, influential Iowa evangelical leader Pastor Cary Gordon will announce his support for me via text message to 788,000 registered voters in Iowa. Pastor Gordon, a strong supporter of traditional marriage, is pastor of Sioux City, Iowa's Cornerstone Church and president of PeaceMakers Institute. This influential endorsement comes on the heels of the endorsement by leading New Hampshire conservative, Karen Testerman.

With just one month to go until the Iowa caucuses, conservatives are coming to the same conclusion: We need to find a conservative alternative to the current frontrunners, and I have the record and passion to be that alternative.
In addition, Santorum's campaign is promoting Palin's words of praise in two spots on the front page of his website.

Here's a short clip of what has Santorum so excited:

It's also been reported that Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are both working hard behind the scenes to secure Palin's endorsement. Unfortunately, Mitt may now be out of the running after snagging the coveted Lisa Murkowski endorsement today.

In my opinion, the only endorsements that will have a significant impact will be from Palin, Nikki Haley, and Marco Rubio. Note: Mike Huckabee and Jim DeMint are on record as saying they will not endorse during the primaries.

Hopefully that 'pastor' will lose his tax exempt status for mixing politics with Religion.

I'd rather have Lisa M's endorsement than Sara P's. Lisa won her election against that nutbag Miller who was endorsed by Palin. Double whammy!

I am sure the candidates would all be happy to have Sarah Palin's endorsement. If a person is in jail or utter disgrace, a candidate does not want their endorsement; otherwise it's a good thing.

Anon, why do you need to be so obnoxious about Sarah? Leave it alone!

anon @ xx:37,

With idiotic comments like that, it's no wonder why you choose to remain anonymous.

I really couldn't say what a Palin endorsement is worth to Romney, but this is sure nice for Rick to get some attention. It makes Iowa even a little more fractured. I've been saying for weeks that Rick may give us a surprise in Iowa, and I hope he does.

RW, as you know, a lot of things that are reported are just plain hogwash, so I wouldn't be so sure that Romney is working hard for Palin. I'm sure he'd be happy to get it, and it's better than Murkowski by a long shot.

But, if Palin wants to remain relevant, she should endorse, and she should make her endorsement count. And FYI, that's not Rick or Newt.

I honestly don't have much against Santorum other than he is a whiner and arrogant in the debates. I believe he is an honorable family man, but I'm not sure if he's presidential material. He'd certainly be a better choice than Newt.

Palin will not endorse, shes hoping for Obama to win so she can prepare her bus tour for 2016

The days of Sarah Palin are over. The Republican party will lead this country back from the brink, and we will enter into a new American Century.

With the nomination of Mitt Romney we all but assure this. The populist movement will be buried and devoured, and before the final rat has eaten the last gram of you, America will have returned.

Historians will one day look back at the relevant political figures of our day. "Who was that," they'll say, as they point to Sarah Palin. "Who was that?"

Rick Santorum is desperate...

As for Palin...who the hell cares?

Terrye, I guess I do a little. I think it's time for our leaders to step up to the plate and prevent Newt--even though I still don't believe he has much of a shot.

Still, this is a most important election, and I don't believe any of our high profile leaders should be sitting on the sidelines. It's time for them to say what needs said.

And that includes Sarah Palin.

Sarah is high-profile to right wing crazies, but not to sane candidates. Her endorsement would be the last thing Romney wants...I hope. Sarah doesn't say what needs to be said, she says what she's paid to say. She has no understanding of what she says or what she reads off speeches written by others.

OJ,

No at all. Didn't you see my wink after my comment?

I am a Romney supporter because I feel that he is best equipped to turn the economy around and his economic background and decades of private sector expertise is desperately needed in the White House...we absolutely do not need any more academics like Gingrich in the White House.

That being said if Sarah for whatever reason can't get behind Romney, she should back up Bachman or Santorum since they are the pure conservatives in the race. By pure I mean their actions have always matched their conservative rhetoric.

I have always liked Sarah, so I will be really disappointed if she endorses Gingrich. Her endorsement of Gingrich would really destroy her conservative brand.

RWN. LOL. yea, just can't get enough of your queen, can you?

I'm sure Romney would like to have Sarah Palin's endorsement in the primary, and I doubt that she would be so petty as to deny it to him just because someone she dislikes also endorsed him. That said, I doubt she will endorse Romney in the primary, though it probably goes without saying that I believe that she should.
