Mitt Romney meeting with former President George H.W. Bush

Mitt Romney is set to chat behind closed doors with former President George H. W. Bush. But Romney's campaign says no endorsement is eminent.

The Republican presidential hopeful was heading Thursday to Bush's home in Houston, even though he was venturing onto the home turf of a rival, Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho confirmed the meeting saying, "they are friends," but added it doesn't mean Bush will endorse Romney.

Unfortunately, I think a GWBush endorsement would be detrimental.

However, I think any candidate would be truly grateful for any assistance Pres. Bush could give. The guy did win two presidential terms in a row against fierce competition.

Bush can at least get more money from his people flowing to romney, despite what many may think of former president Bush, the Bush family still have many loyal supporters in the party.

Yes, a Bush endorsement would be great.

I suspect you are a little confused. Romney is meeting with Bush's Dad in Houston, Bush 1......a superior President in my opinion with huge foreign policy credentials as Director of the CIA and Reagan's VP

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bush Senior give Romney the nod.
