Yeh, that's probably why he lost....Do ya think? He learned back then like Gingrich is learning now, that no one likes a whiner.

He learned his lesson though, it much better to be on the offense with these types of ads than on the receiving end.

Maybe you could say RWN, that he learned from that experience.

So are you saying, that because he complained about this 16 years ago that somehow it apples now?

So the hell what? Maybe he has learned something over years..that is more than can be said for Gingrich who is still blaming everyone else for his problems, shortcomings and screwups.

RWN...one thing I know for sure is that if Palin was in this thing SHE'd have a Super Pac...and it would be going gangbusters on Gingrich, Romney, Paul or anyone else who got in her way...Sarah has no problem going on the attack...surprised you're offended at this political reality and running with the "poor Newt" campaign.

If Newt would have taken the campaign seriously from the beginning, and spent the time necessary to raise money and build an organization, then Newt too could make a commercial complaining about the attack ads against him. As it is, however, he relies on free media to complain because he has done laid none of the groundwork necessary to win.

All that being said, Mitt is definitely a better candidate today than he was when he ran against Teddy Kennedy, and he is better today than he was 4 years ago. Being president of the United States is the hardest job in the world, in my opinion, and I respect the preparation, the work, and the effort Mitt has put into getting ready to earn that job.

I have no problem with attack ads---as long as they are TRUE. Is the Romney SuperPAC telling lies? If they were, I would have a big problem with that. But they aren't.

Let's face it, Gingrich has a lot of material his opponents can use against him. Nothing wrong with a little vetting.

not complaining to the extent that gingrich is, newt is so pissed that he challenges him to a debate...lol romney accomplished his mission.

I guarantee you if newt had money to blitz the states with negative romney ads, he would do it.

Funny, Gingrich wasn't so concerned about mudslinging when Limbaugh, Levin & Fox News were doing his dirty work for him with their relentless attacks on Romney. But now that he's on the receiving end of a barrage of attack ads, Gingrich is squealing like a stuck pig. Some people can dish it out, but sure can't take it.

If I were Newt, I would complain about attack adds in a bid to make me seem like a victim. If I were Romney, I would say attack ads are valid because it would help me diminish my opposition.

All this tell us is that a campaigns will always take their best path to victory.

Too funny.

If Newt was desperate, he would ask his PAC to highlight Mitt's governorship performance. Mitt campaigned as the "job creator" candidate yet left MA being ranked 47th in the nation in job creation over his term. "Porky," as you refer to him, doesn't feel it's honorable to break the 11th Commandment and, therefore, has decided not to run a deceptively dirty campaign.
