Rick Perry may skip some debates

Rick Perry's campaign is signaling the Texas governor could skip some upcoming presidential debates so he can focus on getting to know voters in key early states.

"The candidates need to spend time in Iowa doing those town halls and spending a lot more time with the voters, who oftentimes have the best questions and press the candidates the hardest," Perry communications director Ray Sullivan told CNN in an interview Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Perry spokesman Mark Miner told Politico that the candidate is committed to participating in the next debate, set for Nov. 9 in Michigan, but that future forums for him are up in the air.

The full story is HERE.

Sounds like a great move for someone who doesn't want the voting public to see how un-prepared he is on issues. Unfortunately for him, most people will see right through it:

I think Dirty Harry nailed it!

My 4-year-old, upon seeing Perry's face superimposed on the body of a chicken, uttered these wise words, "He's a little chicken. He must grow up."

I couldn't agree more!

hes definitely chicken crap. i dont know how he thinks this will help him by avoiding debates. If he were to be the nominee, will he avoid debates with obama? And seeing how bad he is a debater, at least being in them can help his debating skills.

Perry's strategy stinks and maybe it's why he's failing. Then again, maybe he's just not very bright.

So far:

- National Day of Prayer one week before announcing--with bigots as hosts.
- SS is a ponzi scheme
- rough up Bernanke
- Debates are stupid.
- Anti-Mormon pastors to do the dirty work.
- Fake tax plan
- Lies about Romney
- Scorched earth policy on Romney.

Did I miss something?

I wouldn't wish a President Perry on Mexico, let alone the US.
