Is Jeb Bush inching towards a Romney endorsement?

Here is Jeb Bush on the Piers Morgan Show on Wednesday. In the interview, Bush talks about Romney and what impresses him about him.

When Morgan asks him if he's ready to endorse Mitt, he says there is no rush to endorse Mitt and then goes own to talk about the qualities of a candidate he's looking for that he could eventually endorse. Guess What? Many of the same qualities he likes about Romney.

What do you suppose the possibility is for a Romney/Bush Ticket?

Anon, this is only about endorsements. I don't think anyone is foolish enough to believe that the Bush name should be on the POTUS ticket in 2012. Memories are still too fresh.

Needless to say if Jeb Bush does endorse Romney there will just be a lot whining about Rinos flocking together. I think Jeb was a good Governor and a smart man, but the talk radio people are not impressed.

I look forward to Jeb endorsing Mitt at some time in the future.

He won't endorse him unless he has the nomination wrapped up. Even then, the Bushies will work behind the scenes to sabatoge his candidacy to open the door for Jeb 2016. A longtime C4P commenter who is very plugged in to Florida politics has been talking about this for quite some time.

RightWingnut..do you actually have any real facts at all to back up the accusation that the socalled Bushies would sabotage Romney's candidacy:? Or is this the usual paranoid fantasy stuff we hear on the internet every day?

Terrye,

Of course they aren't going to come out and say it, but when one of Jeb's top advisors says off the record that Jeb will be President in 2016, draw your own conclusions.

right wingNUT is a good name... hahahaha!

But to the point... what a TELLING video! He said Romney is "all the things you would look for in a candidate." That's a glowing claim!

MassCON,

They believe Mitt is beatable, which opens the door for Jeb in 2016. You still don't understand the games that are played at that level?

rightwingnut..if they are not going to come out and say it..then I don't want to hear it.

Think of this... if Jeb endorses Romney, and he loses, doesn't that hurt Jeb's credibility? Do you think big proud men like Jeb would want to risk their name by endorsing a loser?

Romney IS beatable. But all the other candidates are much MORE beatable.

Don't believe what Rush Limbaugh says... just because a candidate is Conservative, doesn't mean Republican turnout will be enough to win the election. Far-right dumbass crooks like Rick Perry would increase Democratic turnout well beyond what it should be.

Some Conservatives are electable. But we just don't have one of those people in this race except Romney.

MC,

That is why I suggested that Jeb probably won't endorse Mitt unless he has the nomination in the bag. There already leaking stories about a rift between the establishment and the tea party to the NYT. Do you think Mitt wants that? Of course not. Stories like that make it more of an uphill climb if Mitt is the nominee. This stuff doesn't happen by accident.

they're, no there
