Fox News Poll: Cain on Top, Romney close second

GOP Nomination: (results from September)

Herman Cain 24% (17%)
Mitt Romney 20% (23%)
Newt Gingrich 12% (11%)
Rick Perry 10% (19%)
Ron Paul 9% (6%)
Rick Santorum 3% (3%)
Michele Bachmann 3% (3%)
Jon Huntsman 0% (4%)
Gary Johnson 0% (0%)
Too soon to say 11% (5%)
Don't know 5% (7%)
The poll is based on live telephone interviews with a national sample of 327 registered Republican primary voters, and was conducted October 23-25, 2011, With MOE of +/-5.5%.

That's not an endorsement of Mitt, but it will be interesting to see how his candidacy evolves. I do believe that he is more capable than Cain or Perry of challenging Romney in the long run. Look for him to be neck and neck with Mittens by Thanksgiving.

Mitt still can't break out of that 20-25% range. What's up with that?

Newt would be PERFECT.

Most people are not aware of his BAGGAGE.

But they will be if he catches any steam.

If this poll is correct, Mr. Gingrich would certainly take delegates from both Mr. Romney and Mr. Cain. However, Mr. Gingrich is one person I cannot stand.
