Palin's Remarks At Manchester, NH Tea Party Express Rally (Video - 9/5/11)

This was another great speech by Palin, where she challenged the tea party movement to grow by ending the internal squabbles within the movement. Many of these conflicts, as she pointed out, are incited by the media. This is what leadership looks like, folks.
“Let’s talk straight about some of the problems in trying to grow this movement that is so needed. It's media-incited internal squabbles, unfortunately, and we can nip some of that in the bud right here and right now because we’ve got a lot of work to do, constitutionalists. Our challenges today are too great. We simply don’t have time to be bogged down in internal conflicts and friendly-fire conflicts."
She also continued her assault on crony capitalism. If she enters the race for the GOP nomination, I have no doubt that this will be the focus of her campaign.

This woman refuses after 3 years of invites to meet with the real teaparty in NH all 50 of them, instead prefers Sal Russo's fake GOP PAC bus, formed two years after the real tea party formed in 2007. Sorry Sarah you lost it.

Anon,

From some pictures I saw, there were at least three Ron Paul supporters (signs) at the rally. She gave encouraging words for the supporters of various announced candidates at the rally. In short, she's trying to unite the movement, not divide it. You, and your fellow Ron Paul supporters, should take notes.

I just finished watching this speech and in the end I continue to believe, perhaps now more than ever, that Palin is planning on announcing her bid for the President of the United States.

Overall, it was a decent speech but the last 5-10 minutes of the speech sealed the deal for me. The last 3 minutes of the speech was a call to arms...

The last minute of the speech was...inspirational. Those are the words that are highlighted in books about the great speeches in American, political history...those are the words that gain people's attention and remind them of the goodness that is America...those are the kind of words that will win Palin the nomination and the Presidency.

Anon, did you watch the speech? Are you more worried about petty differences than you are about the message?

JR,

I agree. It's also important to note that she's working hard to broaden her appeal, by discussing crony capitalism, and by calling for the tea party to expand its tent. I've said it before, but after watching The Undefeated, it very clear what's going on here.

RW, I agree...I just wish she would announce already...I understand the strategy but I would love for the roller coaster ride to end.

I also noticed that she is speaking of a broadening appeal. In the process of defining the movement she is lessening the notion that Bachmann is some sort of self-appointed leader of the Tea Party. Instead of claiming her, rightful, place as the leader...she implores the notion that there isn't one leader...and there shouldn't be. It's not Michele Bachmann...it's not Rick Perry...it's not herself...it's every one of us, which was a good analogy to the fact that every American is the employer to the DC politicians we hire. In the process of inclusion, Palin welcomed all supporters of all campaigns into the open arms of the Tea Party...good stuff.

This was a very good weekend for her. I assume she will join up for another leg of tour...perhaps in South Carolina?

JR,

I think Perry kind of threw a wrench in her plans. She's probably waiting for him to go though the wringer of a debate or two to allow some vetting to finally be done.

Perry's ascendency in the polls has been very bizzare. I don't recall a presidential candidate avoiding the media for a month, and enjoying such popularity. Most of the electorate knows next to nothing about him.

If Palin were to jump in right now, the MSM would ignore Perry, and focus on Palin. Give it until the end of the month.

Jr,

By the way, I think her 6-point foreign policy plan has the potential for appeal across party lines as well.

Clinton announced in October, Reagan in November.

RW, are you comparing Sarah Palin to Bill Clinton? That's a good one! LOLOL!!!

AZ,

I made the point that others have announced late in the year, and went on to win the nomination and the presidency. Explain how that is funny?
