Palin To Address World Knowledge Forum In South Korea

This report came out two days ago. Some have held this up as evidence that Palin will not run, since there is a debate scheduled in New Hampshire on October 11th, but her team has indicated that this was not a recent addition to the schedule, and will not affect her decision.
US conservative politician Sarah Palin will visit South Korea for the first time to speak at a Seoul forum in October, the organizers said Thursday.

Maeil Business Newspaper said the former vice presidential candidate would make a keynote opening speech at the forum organized by the paper from October 11 to 13.

Palin will speak about the US economic crisis, policies to tackle fiscal woes and her country's role in the world at a time when its superpower status is diminishing, the paper said in a news report.

"She also plans to meet with South Korea's next presidential contenders and major politicians during the forum," it said without elaborating.

Former British prime minister Gordon Brown and Larry Summers, ex-director of US President Barack Obama's National Economic Council, will also speak at the event, it said.

RW, it's too bad the trolls can't leave Sarah alone! I find it interesting that she will be traveling to South Korea to give a speech in October. The timing seems strange if she is running in the primaries. Eventually, she will have to run for President, or not. Now, wasn't that the most brilliant comment I've come up with all day? (LOL)

P.S. I've been to South Korea a couple of times. The people there were So-oo polite and kind to us as Americans. The press often tends to emphasize those with negative views of America, but there is still some gratitude left around the world!

AZ, her appearance in South Korea was scheduled before the debate was. There will be a dozen more debates before Iowa...missing one will not matter in the long run. If Palin runs, I would'nt be surprised if they rescheduled that debate.

BTW, thanks for your support regarding the trolls.

SmEllie,

Heard it here first? We hear that from you every time you post something. That and Palin is the Anti-Christ and Trig isn't her kid. You are such a one-trick pony.

If she runs, are you going to apologize to everyone for being wrong? Also, everyone should call her SmEllie from now on. It fits.

My comment wasn't about Palin traveling overseas, it was more about the timing.

I have a hard time believing that they will reschedule a debate if Palin can't show up, though. That stretches my imagination a little far. I believe that if Romney couldn't make it to a debate, they wouldn't reschedule it, so I just don't think that about Sarah, either. I hope you realize I'm not being negative about Palin, I just don't see the debate schedulers changing things if someone can't make it.

I wonder if Rick Perry would like to ditch out on the debates? It is a chance where he can get his mouth going, but I don't know if his brain will keep up; maybe he's a little afraid of that, too! Just sayin'.

AZ, I actually don't think they would either...that exaggeration was merely, my way, of showing how important Palin could be to this race...love her or hate the woman brings ratings. For that reason alone the media is praying for her to enter.
