Mitt Romney will be the nominee....GET OVER IT!

Are you getting tired of the "Who's the next flavor of the month" syndrome?

I am.

Another one bites the dust....Perry who?

Maybe Jeb Bush....Paul Ryan....ah..duh....Chris Christie?

I know, GHW....he was only President for one term, maybe we can talk him into it?......blah.....blah.....blah!

HELLO!...HELLO!....Is there anybody in there?

Mitt Romney is the best candidate out there.

Does anyone look at the state-by-state Head-To-Head matchups between Romney and Obama?

Does anyone look at who's sucking away independents from Obama in 90% of the states?

So to you ANYONE BUT MITT folks, GET OVER IT! Romney is THE BEST WE'VE GOT!

HE WILL BE THE NOMINEE....despite all the wishful thinking that continues to waste some peoples time.

Not only is Romney the best we've got, he is legitimately good. Not perfect (and no one is), but very very good.

Why is everyone so worried about Romney? Positions? Religion? Moderate? What? It all nonsense-He is the BEST candidate from top to bottom. The whiners will never be satisfied because there is no PERFECT candidate!

Bosman,

My sentiments exactly.

I'm not sure I really understand what an "independent" is. What I do know is that this time, both the primaries and general will not be decided by "the base" but The Scared Middle, TSM is not coextensive with moderates or independents (again, do moderates = independents?Apathy and ideology and party affiliation somewhat correlate but to what extent?)

In any case normally apathetic voters are going to be too scared not to vote this time, even in primaries. And in open primaries, with a Dem incumbent, people are going to vote in the GOP primary rather than the Dem primary.

Romney is going to take most of the TSM vote.

Romney is a conservative without the cultural baggage (Perry, Palin) that's such a turnoff to so many people outside the south.

This is one of the most relevant and intelligent posts I've ever read.

You've managed to sum up my feelings on this to a T.

Excellent post! Now that we have that out of the way ... I would like to vent a little on the so called "Ron Paul Revolution" people -- Wake up -- He is an anti-Semite and has taken donations from Storm Front (a neo nazi organization) he is an isolationist and a fraud of a candidate. As for Gov. Jackson of NM -- He is just as much of a wingnut. Ok, I will now descend from my soapbox ....

I think it would be brilliant political strategy to have Romney pick Cain as his VP, this would garner him the nervous Bible Belt (although admittedly, to have Gov. Huckabee say Romney is the most electable is a help). John Bolton or Newt Gingritch = Secretary of State
Paul Ryan = Treasury
Jerry Bowyer = Fed
Col. Oliver North = Sec of Defense
Charles Krauthammer = Press Secretary
Marco Rubio = Homeland Security Bobby Jindal = FEMA
Rick Santorum = Interior
Michelle Bachman = Health & Human Services

Anyone agree with these?

Chazek,

I believe Jim DeMint should be Romney's nominee.

He has already stated that this is his last term. I wonder what he plans on doing next?

I feel your frustration.

As a frustrated, independent, voter {and blogger}, may I say 'thank you' for finally rallying around the correct candidate. 2012 is just ripe for the taking, but it just wont happen with Bachmann, Perry or Palin...just sayin.' Rock on.

You don't have to be perfect to be a perfect president.

Excellent post Bosman!

I have been feeling this way for some time now: http://www.rightspeak.net/2011/07/by-time-and-tone-of-this-post-its.html

Time for the small percentage of pundits and Talk Radio whiners to eat their Romney peas!!

Romney 2012-20!!!

Chazak, are you serious?
First, it's Governor Johnson from NM, not Jackson.

Your cabinet would be a disaster.
-Paul Ryan strongly supported the atrocious bailouts.
-Oliver North... Do you remember anything from history about his involvement with the Iran-Contras scandal?
-Jerry Bowyer... if you're calling people wingnuts, you can't skip this guy.
-And Rick Santorum is one of the scariest politicians I've ever seen. At least you put him in the least influential cabinet position.
