Sarah Palin: Mitt Romney Was Right!

H/T Right Wingnut

Some interesting quotes from Sarah Palin today at the Iowa State Fair:

First:

“No, nothing worries me at this point,” Palin told TheDC. “Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah.”

Second:

"The people pay the taxes. It’s not an entity — the corporation itself — that pays the taxes. It’s the people who pay the taxes. So Mitt Romney was right," she said.

Sarah is sharpening up. As a loyal Palin supporter, I like Romney too. The guy is intelligent.

If you read or watch the entire discussion, she is saying she would support anyone over Obama. She's not signaling support for Romney in the primary. The linked article has been updated. The Daily Caller jumped the gun here.

UPDATE: In a subsequent phone call to The Daily Caller on Friday, Palin said her remarks to TheDC should not be interpreted as support for Romney in the race. Palin reiterated that she’s for ABO — “Anybody But Obama.”

A representative of SarahPAC also told TheDC that Palin has complained to Fox, whose site Fox Nation aggregated this article, for what she calls a misleading headline for this story.

Palin Lays Out What Her Campaign Would Look Like

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Though she said that she has not yet made up her mind about whether to launch a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Friday demonstrated that she has done some serious thinking about her potential strategy, should she launch a campaign in the coming weeks.

Palin answered questions from reporters for over an hour as she strolled through the state fair here alongside her husband, Todd, and prominent Iowa GOP fundraiser Becky Beach. The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee was asked several times whether the decision by Texas Gov. Rick Perry to enter the race meant that the window to throw her hat into the ring has closed, and she was emphatic that it has not.

Asked to compare her record to Perry’s, Palin noted that Alaska’s Constitution provides for a “very, very strong governor’s office,” which she said is not the case in Texas. Though she took issue with the suggestion that she was creating a contrast between Perry and herself, Palin has clearly been thinking about how she would run a campaign against a soon-to-be announced candidate whose base of support might overlap heavily with hers.

Sarah is grossly unqualified to handle the job of being President. She and Bachman need to disappear..... neither of them has any chance of winning.

Sarah was spot on, on the taxes question. I mean who or what do these reporters and liberals think make up a corporation, robots?

The Sarah Palin show in Iowa is largely made up of the Media.

Take away the Media and the "onlookers," and, well, her fan base is pitifully small.

The proof is in the poor showing at her pathetic film, the near empty Mall of America book signing, and the dismal sales of her second book.

When is the Media going to stop this pretense that Sarah Palin matters?

How can you keep asking the question whether she is running or not... This woman left office so she can sell her brand... She does not have an exploratory staff.., or hired anyone to establish an organizational network... She panders.., for bucks!.. This is her career... She will get in front of the camera for this run..., and will hope to do the same in 2016.., and the mouth breathers will continue to believe her... Don't care for Bachmann.., but she has the courage to put skin in the game.., and will go toe to toe with the media... Palin only does FOX Skews, Twitter and Facebook... Not what you'd call leadership material...

Anon.....TROLL....Who ever,

Why don't you grow up? The thread is about her speaking words in support of Romney, and you IDIOTS turn it into an anti-Palin rant.

We don't give a RATS ASS what you think....Know why? Because you haven't got the aggies to put a name to your trash talk.

Hey ConMan!

I'll second that.

Anon, you're just as obsessed as you think the people are that you bash. Every comment is an anti-Palin rant. Says more about you than about Palin and her supporters.

Anonymous said...

Hey Con Man, why don't you reveal your name?

Grassroots? Obviously, they haven't read her FEC reports which show regular payments made to operatives in the DC area. For years. SarahPAC itself is run out of Virginia.

Palin's supporters seem impressed with how much attention she gets from the press wherever she goes.
However, one group is there to record what she's wearing, because it's usually good for a laugh or a 'what was she thinking?' moment.
Another group is there in the hope of getting the money shot. If you've seen Basic Instinct, you've seen the money shot. Palin admits to exploiting 'the girls', but Mr. Fuzzy is what keeps the men sweet.
A third group is there to capture the bizarre nonsense that comes out of her mouth. Whether she's celebrating morbid obesity or admonishing the press for quoting her verbatim, she never disappoints when it comes to sounding like an absurd self-parody.
Come to think of it, nobody is there because they like or respect the woman. Nobody actually believes she can inspire or lead.
Not even her family...not even her family.
Her supporters relate to her because she shares their hate and distrust of everyone.
