Palin Offers Words Of Support For Pawlenty; Update: Video Added

Kudos to Palin for her kind words for Tim Pawlenty. It doesn't sound like she's overly impressed with the Iowa Straw Poll process.
NBC's Alex Moe reports from Springfield, IL, that Palin told NBC News at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, "I think we will see more people coming and going" in this campaign cycle. "I hate to see that internal party events would be seen as the barometer for somebody to stay in the race or not. I would love to have seen Pawlenty stay in there and allow the voters to decide not internal political machinery decide who should be in the race and who should not. So I am disappointed that he has dropped out. Pawlenty, he is a good man who worked very hard, had a good record as a governor. He knew how to get along with the boys in the sandbox. He knew when and how to compromise in order to get things done in a blue state - a Republican in a blue state being effective. I have great respect for him and a lot of his staff members too, good guys, good gals. He has a great family. So I really, really hope the best for Gov. Pawlenty; he is a good man, and disappointed that he dropped out.

On whether Pawlenty quitting will impact her decision to run, she said, "No, I think this is more illustration of the comings and goings of a campaign in a very long season of politics. We still have many months to go, and I think we will see more people coming and going."

Good for Palin and she's exactly right.

This whole thing makes me mad--that nutjob candidates like Bachmann and Perry win out over solid people like Tim Pawently. Sure, he was a pretty lame candidate, but he is more qualified than the both of them put together.

I know this helps Romney, but I'm not happy that the crazies have so much control.

nutjobs? crazies? you are insane! Why dont you compare perry's record to willard's record as governor and see who was a more accomplished gov. Romney was a corporate raider who only was looking to fill his own pockets while screwing people out of their jobs. Perry was a solid governor and he is the right one for creating jobs as president.

Anon, It's kind of hard to take you seriously. But I guess you are reflective of Perry voters. He he.

he he...47th in jobs creation as gov? thats 47 out of the 50 states...doesnt seem that impressive to me, and yet hes running as the person to create jobs? riiiiiggghhhtttt!

Anon. Perry's record is becoming known, now that he's in. It's not going to take long for voters to figure him out. He's so far below Romney in resume and qualifications, and preparation that the two cannot even be compared without Perry looking downright silly.

This "new" anon sounds awfully similar to someone else...I said it would just be a matter of time.
