Do you wonder how much talk time each candidate got at the Fox GOP Debate?

To listen to Rick Santorum, you'd think he was the neglected step child at last night's Republican debate. He seemed to feel that he wasn't receiving as much talk time as the others. He was wrong and the facts are below:
Mitt Romney 10.1 minutes
Michele Bachmann 10.0 minutes

Ron Paul 9.7 minutes

Tim Pawlenty 9.4 minutes

Rick Santorum 9.2 minutes

Newt Gingrich 8.7 minutes

Herman Cain 7.7 minutes

Jon Huntsman 7.2 minutes

The top five candidates in terms of air time -- Romney, Bachmann, Paul, Pawlenty, and, yes, Santorum -- were all within one minute of each other over the course of a two-hour debate. Newt Gingrich got a bit less, and Herman Cain and Jon Huntsman did lag a bit. But part of that was due to their own choice to give shorter answers. Mitt Romney was asked 12 questions; Herman Cain was asked 11. Some of the difference in air times had to do with the relative aggressiveness of the candidates.
I don't know what it means, but for me it felt like my favorite Romney was short changed on time and Bachmann was talking all night.

Was I in a time warp during some of the debate last night? Or was it a case that when Romney spoke time flied, Bachmann, not so much.

That's interesting, because I came away with the impression that Ron Paul really hogged the mic. He kept going over and over and over.

Wow was I wrong. I would have guessed that Pawlenty and Bachmann had a lot more time than Romney.

My guess is that if you find someone boring when they talk, time seems a lot longer or at a standstill.

It really seemed to me like Bachmann got the most time by a longshot. Guess I was wrong.
