Who do you think would make a better candidate for the Republican nomination for President, Michelle Bachmann or Mitt Romney?
Mitt Romney 40%
Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, has a 40 percent to 23 percent lead over Bachmann among Republicans and independents. Among independents only, Romney's lead was 10 percentage points.
The poll showed nearly half of the independents surveyed, 49 percent, were undecided. Romney led among independents by 27 percent to 17 percent.
The poll of 1,173 adults, including 989 registered voters, was taken Friday through Monday and had an overall margin of error of 3 percentage points.
It surveyed 444 Republicans, with a margin of error of 4.7 percentage points, and 221 independents, with a margin of error of 6.6 percentage points.

49% undecided? Wow. Not a lot of enthusiasm for either of them.
This lousy field is ripe for a shake-up.
Would the field be more or less lousy if palin jumps in? I actually think bachmanns numbers here would be better compared to palin.
its only the lousy supporters of the lousy candidates who dont have the lousy guts to enter the lousy race that are calling it a lousy group of lousy candidates.
This shows only COMMON SENSE.
WHO would think Bachmann would make a better GOP nominee other than lots of Democrats?
I don't think there are to many surprised by these results.
