PPP Polling is dropping Tim Pawlenty from some statewide polling

More bad news for Tim Pawlenty. It couldn't come at a worse time with him gearing up for a last stand in Iowa. According to PPP Polling, he will not be included any longer in any Head-To-Head polls with Obama. Instead, he'll be relegated to sit on the sidelines with Rick Santorum, Buddy Roemer, Thaddeus McCotter, Gary Johnson and a few others:
As a result of Tim Pawlenty’s poor performance in its latest national poll, Public Policy Polling will no longer include the former Minnesota governor on the list of candidates it polls in a direct match-up against President Barack Obama at the state level. Pawlenty will still be included in PPP’s Republican primary polls.
PPP is set to release the results of its national poll this week. Teasing those results on Monday, Tom Jensen, PPP’s director, tweeted: “Rick Perry debuts in our national polling at 12%. Will replace Pawlenty in our state level general election polls because T-Paw is now 8th.”
I wonder if other polling companies will follow suit? Over the past few days, I've seen Pawlenty drop below Santorum in a few polls.

George Will was really really off when he said our next president would be Obama, Daniels or Pawlenty.

It looks like he's done. My guess is he'll drop out after his loss in Iowa and endorse Romney.

Pawlenty is Romney lite with less charisma.

Someone had posted this on MRC chat:

Laie for Mitt: Great line from Jay Leno 7/19, “Perry said that God wants hin to run and Bachman said that God wants her to run” and then Jay says he thinks God wants Mitt to run, great line!!

LIKE this one!

Pawlenty hopefully will find positive ways to serve and help our country. Everyone cannot be POTUS. That is the SAME for all candidates!

Terrible, terrible performance to drop below SANTORUM in the polls. I feel bad for Tim, I think he had a decent record as governor. Oh well. Who's next? Hopefully Cain, Huntsman and Santorum.

I am truly surprised at how poorly Tim Pawlenty is doing in the polls.

Good record, wrong time.

But he does have the Iowa debate to turn things around. Let's see how he does.....

TC, His record isn't bad, but it's rather unremarkable.

Anon 6:41am - To be Romney-lite with less charisma is almost an impossible feat...leave it to T-Paw...

Unfortunately, Pawlenty's demise might add some fuel to a Perry run.

Between the two, I'd take Pawlenty by a mile.

I'd like Tpaw to stay in. I'd like Palin in as well. With Palin, Bachmann, and Tpaw in, Perry has NO PLACE TO GO.

Let them all split the votes under Romney's 30%
