Mike Huckabee will address next month's Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, an annual event that has been a high-profile proving ground for GOP presidential candidates.Other confirmed 2012 hopefuls at this point are: Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Herman Cain, and Rick Santorum. There is no word at this point if Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Donald Trump, and Sarah Palin will be attending.
Mitt Romney won the Straw poll there last year beating Ron Paul by 1 vote: (second choice)
Newt Gingrich 18% (19)
Mike Huckabee 4% (10)
Gary Johnson 1% (6)
Sarah Palin 18% (18)
Ron Paul 24% [438 votes] (5)
Tim Pawlenty 3% (6)
Mike Pence 3% (8)
Mitt Romney 24% [439 votes] (13)
Rick Santorum 2% (7)

What do you think the chances are that Romney will attend now that Huckabee is?
My guess is that Romney will be officially in by this point and will probably attend.

I doubt that I'll be going again this year--might depend in part who the final speaker list will be.
