Pretty ugly stuff, BOS. Many states where the ratio is 1 in 5. Nationally, only half pay income taxes. Texas surprises me, what with all their job growth.

We need to get America back to work, off welfare, and where appropriate off their asses. We need an income tax code where EVERYONE that earns pays at least something, even of it is only a few percent.

Oh man, how embarrassing. I had no idea Oregon was one of the worst. Figures, though.

With stats like this, it seems pretty impossible to turn things around.

You're right Ric.

There is nothing wrong with folks getting assistance if they are going through TEMPORARY hard tomes. The Problem is when temporary becomes permanent.

"PAYCHECKS NOT FOOD STAMPS" needs to be our motto as a country! While it is easy to become addicted to gov't aid, some of these people are now on food stamps because the economy is terrible! I am convinced that we need government leaders who understand the economy and will allow the private sector to do what it has always done best in the past--CREATE JOBS! This is something that our current administration simply will not understand--the PRIVATE SECTOR CREATES MOST OF THE JOBS. Goverment cannot try to take the place of the private sector, or we will all be on food stamps!

Go Mitt Romney!
