I wonder if this will spur Huckabee on to announce, so that he can save America from the Mormon.

Anonymous said...

Dan, don't you think Huck is going to get behind T-Paw just so that he can do that? He hasn't done one single thing toward a real run. There's NO doubt in my mind he is completely committed to stopping Romney--whatever it takes.

I think this announcement will keep others from jumping in.

I'm sure that Huckabee, Palin, Barbour, Gingrich, Pawlenty all felt the Romney would announce late.

This is called a CURVE BALL. Anyone who thought they were going to announce early and have the spotlight to themselves, just had their bubble burst!

I wonder what's going through that guy from Minn,?

What's his name now.....?

It looks like our next President will be a competent one.

Actually, based on the fundraising meetings Mitt had in DC and NY in March, this is exactly the time frame designated to announce the exploratory committee.

And, I don't know about Chris Matthews, but it give me tingles.

Anonymous said...

FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO ROMNEY 2012!!!!!!

(PS. PLEASE DONT DELETE MY COMMENT, ITS PURE EMOTIONS!!)

Closer To Home said...

And it doesn't look like Romney is backing away from RomneyCare, given that its anniversary is tomorrow.

Closer To Home said...

I'm going to insinuate from the comment at 6:07 that Mitt has at least ONE non-Mormon supporter. Good on ya'.

Anonymous said...

LOL...I NEVER JUDGED A MAN ON HIS RELIGIOUS BELIEFS...IM A CATHOLIC BUT TRULY BELIEVE ROMNEY IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB.

Anonymous said...

If Anon 6:07 were mormon, he would have said 'Flip Yes!"

OhioJOE said...

"The adult has entered the campaign!" He maybe technically an adult, but he lacks leadership and courage. Is this the best the GOP can do??? Good grief!

Anonymous said...

screw fox news...did anyone watch brett baier and his so called panel of experts?...yeah it was all about romneycare and romney's cheesy youtube announcement and pretty much doubting any success romney will have as a candidate.....I sure hope romney will show them all up....

Anonymous said...

oj...I agree with you, the gop can definitely do better, but i wouldnt say he lacks leadership and courage.

Anonymous said...

I am completely giddy with excitement. Romney, the man with intelligence, integrity and a beautiful family. Romney 2012!

OJ, Leadership is not quitting.
Nuff said on that one.

larry said...

This is the best news I've heard all day.
I'm so psyched for this Presidential campaign

Anonymous said...

Martha, you're right. I do think Huck will endorse Pawlenty and stay out. That way he can keep earning heaps of money at Fawn and use that platform to bash Romney without having to actually debate Romney or live up to his record. This scenario would most fit Huck's slimy cowardice.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Fox will be gunning for Romney. I think that most of them there have a grudge against him. I very much prefer Daniels, but I could happily vote for Romney just to give Fox the middle finger.

Anonymous said...

A palin supporter should be the last person to accuse romney of not having leadership. I agree with ellie, Leadership is NOT quitting!!!

carlo said...

I'm hoping Romney gives fox the finger on their first debate in May.

Anonymous said...

Anybody's entering of the race now will be ANTICLIMACTIC!

Anonymous said...

Mike Schumuckabee will definitely use fixed news each week, to criticize and take support away from romney. I only hope America can really look past the folksy charm talk and see tax hike mike schmuckabee for who he really is.

Anonymous said...

I JUST DONATED 50 BUCKS ON ROMNEY'S WEBSITE...WHOS WITH ME???...ITS NOT MUCH BUT ITS THE SUPPORT THAT COUNTS, WE NEED ROMNEY IN THE ORAL OFFICE..OOPS OVAL OFFICE...SORRY BILL

Anonymous said...

You guys are right. Romney should give Fox the finger. Then he should kick Bret Baier in the nuts before he announces that he is behind the Fairness Doctrine and is in favor of censuring Fox News. He should do this because everyone knows that the Mainstream Media is going to be totally fair to Romney or any other GOP candidate.

I really do not understand all the hatred of Fox News at this site. You people hate Fox News more than MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, The New York Times, etc., etc., etc. What did Fox News do....not get on their knees and kiss Romney's rear end. I'm going to give all of you some free advice. If Romney wins the GOP nomination, Fox News will be one of the only Media outlets that gives Romney a fair shake. The rest of the Mainstream Media will paint Romney as a racist, sexist, religious freak, wanting old & poor people to die, desiring the environment to be destroyed, etc, etc, etc. Do you know why? Because they are LIBERALS who want Obama to WIN and will tilt the news in his favor. So think about that the next time you want to flip off Fox News.

Mitt should allow payments through Paypal.

Lots of people don't like giving the CC numbers. That's a mistake. I hope they change that.

Anonymous said...

AJR,

Yeh, he should go and talk to himself, santorum, Gingrich, Cain, up on the stage.

Give the News media a field day to zero in on him, before any of the other heavy hitters jump in.

Anonymous said...

Hey Anon,

I don't care if he debates or not. All I was wondering is why all the hatred of Fox News. If you would have read my comments, maybe you would have figured that out.

A.J.R.

Anonymous said...

I agree with AJR, fox may not be so kind to romney right now, because they are affliated with some of the potential candidates, paid or unpaid....but in the case that romney gets the GOP nom, Fox will be the only fair and balanced news station to back mitt romney.

Tim said...

Not that I care, but I wonder what Limbough, levin and others will say tomorrow.

My guess is their responses will be timid until they see who else jumps in. I don't think they would be that stupid to burn and unnecessary bridges.

ConMan said...

I would expect several tv interviews during the next few weeks. O'Reilly definitely, maybe Hannity, The morning show where Steve Ducey is a big Romney fan. Probably other networks as well.

OhioJOE said...

"A palin supporter should be the last person to accuse romney of not having leadership." Blah blah, give fox the middle finger, blah blah blah, give Conservatives the middle finger blah blah blah let's screw the country. Leadership please.

"I really do not understand all the hatred of Fox News at this site." Simple, petty bitterness. That is fine they can try to win the election without those they hate in fly-over country.

OhioJOE said...

"I don't think they would be that stupid to burn and unnecessary bridges." Too late, the Romney camp already burned them.

Good for Mitt.

Now, when it comes to the major issues of the day, he won't be able to hide under his desk anymore.

SO excited! Bring it, Mitt!

Noelle said...

I think it would be silly to avoid Fox News. Even though I think there are several Fox pundits who are unfair in their criticism of Romney, he is a strong enough and confident enough guy that he can handle challenging interviews. O'Reilly and Hannity I feel confident that they will give Romney a fair shake. Others like Morris or Huckabee will not, but I doubt that either of them will be interviewing him.

Romney can hold his own whether it be on Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or any of the network channels. He will not avoid challenging venues.

Romney 2012!

Anonymous said...

O'Reilly will not be fair to Romney. Nonetheless, he should do interviews with him if asked.

In 2008 O'Reilly often took McCain's side over Romney. I seem to remember one of those times was before the FL primary when McCain was falsely accusing Romney of having a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq.

Anonymous said...

RW, your right, i hope romney doesnt hide under his desk, and I hope he doesn't quit either

Anonymous said...

prediction? chris christie and sarah palin will endorse romney for the gop nom. huckabee endorses pawlenty. laugh now but wait and see later.

Anonymous said...

With Romney's announcement today he brings with it a level of seriousness about the real issues to the Primary.

Please no more Trump and his birther issue followed by Palin trying to out do him.

It’s clear that Romney will do everything he can to run as the adult in the GOP contest, avoiding some of the early political scrums in hopes of portraying himself as the sort of “big” figure who not only can take on President Obama but can step into the office ready to lead on day one.~Chris Cillizza

Is anyone besides me struck with the contrasting style of videos between Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty? Romney's video today is just straight-forward and direct. It addresses the issues with no extra visual or auditory stimulation. Pawlenty's videos, at least the ones I've seen, by contrast are like watching previews for a Hollywood movie. Pawlenty's videos seem to be trying to make Pawlenty more exiting (than he really is). Romney's demeanor is certainly the most presidential, his beliefs and ideas are pretty consistent with mine, and his record and his history indicate that he is he most prepared to address the challenges this country faces and will face in the future.

Noelle, the contrast couldn't be more obvious. I was taken aback that it didn't even have music. What a gutsy move when you think about it - everything has some kind of soothing track at least in the background to lull you into listening to the whole thing. That it did not almost made me pay closer attention. Very interesting direction. That new logo however I think is kind of a mistake.

Nice job Mitt!

Good news to come home to.

This doesn't sound like a man who wants to sit under a desk.

They say Romney has been running since the end of 2008, in other words, he hasn't QUIT.

Just they type of tenacity and focus the nation needs.

WTF...mitts video on youtube has been hijacked by ron paul supporters.

Have not seen the hijacked vid yet. But, it shows us how little his supporters are!
