President Obama: Born In The U.S.A.?

No, I'm not a birther. Until someone proves otherwise, I believe President Obama was born in Hawaii, therefor a citizen of the United States.

No, this is about a Book that is coming out on that subject:
Two-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi, a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard and a senior staff writer at WND, has written a new book that promises to be a game-changer on the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility.

It's called "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is Not Eligible to Be President."

The result of more than two years of solid investigative research by Corsi and a team of WND reporters and editors, this book is destined to be a huge bestseller and change the dynamics of the debate over eligibility – IF, of course, the book is not spiked by the hostile establishment media when it is officially released in May.
There will be a series of TV ads by WND to promote this book and the Authors findings. Here is a sample of the commercial:

The full story is HERE.

If President Obama is occupying the White House under false pretence, why hasn't he been handcuffed and hauled off to prison? Surely, his political opponents would be only too glad to see that happen. Is it really that easy for a person who was not born in America to be elected POTUS and leader of the free world?

You birthers are hilarious. The world is laughing at y'all.

Anyone can go to Hawaii vital statistics and get a copy of President Obama's birth certificate. Due to high demand, Hawaii is now charging $100 for the copy. Factchcck.org has extensively studied the birth certificate issue and have found it to be legit. http://factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

There will always be a small segment of the country who will always see Obama in a negative, illegitimate way just because he's black. Sadly, racism is alive and thriving in America.

Actually, Obama has already published his birth certificate, the official birth certificate of Hawaii. Yes, the certification of live birth is a birth certificate, and in fact it is the official and only birth certificate of Hawaii, used by thousands of people every year to get their US passports. And in Obama's case the facts on his birth certificate were confirmed repeatedly by the officials in Hawaii.

And there were birth notices in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961, and these were not ads. The papers did not accept birth ads in those days. They only took their notices from the department of vital records, which did not send them out for births outside of Hawaii and which did not accept “walk in” or “call in” birth registrations but demanded a witness statement whenever there was a claim of a birth outside of a hospital.

Back to racism again. Somehow, I thought Obama was supposed to be the end of racism. His elcetion has only made the subject worse. Everyone who disagrees with him must be *gasp* RACIST!

By the way, I am not a birther. However, states do have the right to ask for proof that Presidential candidates are truly eligible to be President. This should do away with a lot of concerns for the poor common people who have not got the "legal standing" to demand something so simple as a birth certificate. Again, I am not a birther and have not taken sides in this long standing debate. I do think that the fact that the debate has happened should give states the right to settle it BEFORE people run for President.

Re: "states do have the right to ask for proof that Presidential candidates are truly eligible to be President."

Under the US Constitution's Full Faith and Credit Clause every state must accept the official documents of all other states. And in the case of Hawaii, the official birth certificate is the certification of live birth, and it is the only birth certificate that Hawaii has sent out to anyone since it became the official birth certificate in 2001. Hawaii does not even send out the long-form original birth certificate to people born before 2001.

The President has produced his birth certificate, OhioJOE. Palin refuses to show us Trig's. What do you think she is hiding? You would think she want to put a stop to all the grief she is getting over this, wouldn't you?

If I were Trig's birth mother, I certainly would not want my child to be the subject of such intense scrutiny when it is so doggone easy to prove the speculation to be false.

Anon,

I'm not a birther.

But rather than making statements as if they are facts, why not:

1. supply links to back-up your statements. because until you do, most will file your statement under, "BS".
2. Put some type of name to your statements so you separate yourself from other Anons.

The mere fact that no other president has been asked to show his birth certificate makes this a racism issue.

John McCain went through the courts to establish that he COULD indeed run for President, although he was born in Panama. He was the son of an active duty US military officer, and the courts decided not to bar active military's children from running for President even when born outside the US. It is NOT RACIST to establish a person's eligibility for President. Obama is not the only person to have to prove his eligibility. NOT RACIST, CASE CLOSED.

Anon, asking for a birth certificate does not mean that I think states should reject each other's certificates. Indeed, states are the issuers of all birth certificates. I only meant that it is not out of line for states to require Presidential candidates to provide proof of eligibility to run for President BEFORE placing them on the ballot. I don't have any idea why you thought I meant anything other than that.

Re: "the courts decided not to bar active military's children from running for President even when born outside the US. "

Answer: The courts threw out the cases against McCain because the plaintiffs did not have standing. That is exactly what they did with the cases against Obama. McCain, by the way, did not show his birth certificate to a court or to Congress or to a Senate committee, nor did he post it. Obama, however, posted his OFFICIAL birth certificate from Hawaii, which is the one that would be shown to any state that demands proof of birth in the USA because it is the official birth certificate. Every state must accept the official documents of all other states.

Okay

Here is a photocopy of Obama’s official birth certificate. Notice the seal on the back. Yes, it is on Factcheck’s site, but the idea that they could forge such a detailed document and the seal is laughable.

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

Here is confirmation that it is the official and only birth certificate that Hawaii issues

Here is the first of the two confirmations by the officials in Hawaii.

http://www.kitv.com/r/17860890/detail.html

Notice where it says that there is an original birth certificate filed. Well, in 1961 foreign birth certificates, even those from other states, could not be filed in Hawaii. So the birth certificate in Obama’s files must be a Hawaii birth certificate.

Here is the second of the two confirmations by the officials in Hawaii.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-07-27-obama-hawaii_N.htm

Notice where it says that the document in the files VERIFIES that Obama was born in Hawaii. So, not only is there an official Hawaiian birth certificate in the files, but it says right on it that Obama was born in Hawaii. Hawaii has never allowed the Department of Health to issue a birth document of any kind that says on it that anyone was born in Hawaii unless there was proof that the child was born in Hawaii, and that is what the officials in Hawaii have confirmed twice.

And here is the confirmation by the former governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, a Republican, that says that Obama was born in Hawaii, in Kapiolani Hospital

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/right-now/2010/05/hawaii_gov_lingle_answers_the.html

And here is the statement of a witness who recalls being told of Obama’s birth in Hawaii, in Kapiolani Hospital, in 1961:
