Palin Weighs in on Obama's Libya Speech

Shortly after President Obama's lackluster speech on Libya, Sarah Palin spoke with Greta Van Susteren to share her thoughts. Former UN Ambassador, John Bolton came on immediately after Palin. I couldn't help notice the stark similarities between between the two critiques of Obama's speech and his overall lack of leadership on the matter.

RW, thanks for posting this. I just finished watching it and I must say that she has been doing a great job. She appears calm and in control of the interview. She comes off as a head of state.

Of course she was disappointed.

She couldn't understand what he was saying and she didn't have an English-to-twithead translator available.

Do we really need to suffer through more of Palin's predictable reaction to all things Obama? I think we would get a more thoughtful comment from Perez Hilton or Lindsey Lohan.

Good interview.

Mansour wrote Palin's reaction long before she heard the speech.

Did Bristol Google the meaning of "profoundly"for her?

Palin sounded like a petty, jealous teenager; completely negative about everything the President says or does.

She sneers at the idea of humanitarian reasons, dissing him for going in for that reason, then slamming him for not doing it unilaterally - who needs allies, for not pledging to oust Qaddafi . What she wants is that "Bush Doctrine" she didn't know about 2 years ago; which President Obama carefully explained we could no longer afford, 1 trillion and 3000 troops later.

President Obama's explanation of Libya went right over her head -

GOP Insiders Say Romney’s Still Number One
Sarah Palin, however, barely cracks their top 10 list.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney continues to be seen as the favorite for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination according to a special National Journal Political Insiders Poll released on Tuesday. The second favorite for the GOP nod is former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. But Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who was John McCain’s running mate in 2008 and was once viewed as a potential party standard bearer, was ranked ninth by the GOP Insiders—tied with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Texas Gov. Rick Perry—when they were asked who was most likely going to be their 2012 presidential nominee.

"President Obama's explanation of Libya went right over her head -" I guess it went over most American heads. Mrs. Palin leads where Mr. Obama fails.

With so many people writing things for Palin, it must be hard for her ghost writers to keep track of so many things other people have said she should say.

That post was made February 22nd, 2011. Palin seems to have totally forgotten about her position of just one month ago. A month ago Palin advocated a NATO alliance to minimize the brutal killing of Libyan people by Gaddafi. Now that NATO has done the very thing that she advocated, Palin has become critical of Obama and NATO. Is anyone surprised?

Anonymous said...

What I'm surprised about is why, when she is falling so far behind in the polls, anyone would care what she has to say about anything, period. She's history. Let's move on.

Anonymous, lots of nasty comments on here. I dare you to reveal who you are. Anonymous comments are cowardly and allow you to say things without being accountable for them.

Remember, I'm not a Palin fan, but we all deserve to become acquainted with you. If your comments are so nasty that you can't put your name to them, you should behave yourself.

John Ellis, Business Insider: Palin's shadow campaign for the 2012 GOP presidential campaign has been almost completely mismanaged. Her biggest problem -- that she lacks the experience and knowledge necessary to serve as president -- has gone unaddressed. She's embroiled herself in politically useless controversies. And she's been incoherent on hugely important issues.

Sarah Palin, like others on Fox, makes her living by extracting the sentiments of the most fearful and outraged conservatives and funnels these back out to the public, with no credibility or legitimacy to back up her statements. She has no real expertise in foreign policy, and has no understanding of how hypotheses and options are evaluated in adaptive response…she can’t comprehend the idea of taking measured steps and taking care with what you say, while at the same time considering long term and short term strategies. Palin prefers the bull in the china shop approach. Just give me another gun so I can try again to shoot that Caribou I missed. Palin’s approach is to jump in without thinking, be aggressive and narrow any options for negotiation or for the Libyans to take control of their own destiny. Her approach is the kind that results in our Nation being looked at as the mean aggressor. If we say now that we plan to kill Qaddafi, what is Qaddafi’s response going to be? What will be the response of other Arab nations? (fear and build up of arms). Sarah has no ability to think forward about the consequences and complexities because she is simple minded and will say or do anything, if the price is right.

I don't like to put out my contact information much, even for commenting on different sites. My husband and I are deeply concerned about our privacy. However, in case you hadn't noticed, I sign all of my comments, which means I take responsibility for all of them. I dare you to do the same.

Excellent point AZ,

Some of these Anti-Palin borderline trolls, seem to be afraid to leave any type of name.

Obviously they're afraid to be called out on any of their statements.

I don't know who you support, but whoever he/she is, you're an embarrassment to them. That includes hate spewing anon Romney supporters as well.

Okay, you win, since I am deeply concerned about my privacy, I'll start doing the same.

Revolution 2010 identifies me and CONNECTS ME to statements I make. So that it's easier to respond.

Now as to you, "Maybe I'll start posting as Lou Sarah.". That would be a great start and a lot easier to respond to you.

Thanks AZ and Revolution for being level headed. I'm sure you know these liberal trolls will castigate Romney as soon as they feel it is necessary.

JR, You are correct. They will castigate whoever they need to. In fact, here is what is posted ot Ellie's favorite Palin hating blog. According to the home site of the trolls, Romney, Palin, Huck, and Newt are ALL losers.

Anon 11:45 - once again a troll gets their facts wrong. Palin called for a NATO Alliance for a NO-FLY ZONE...she did not call for a full escalation where we surrendered our lead to other members of the NATO Alliance...she didn't call for the U.S. to get approval from the Arab League and the UN before surrendering our lead all awhile assuming the brunt of the cost.

I think RS can weather the storm of these new people commenting about Palin. I doubt they will stick around long. I admit that I wouldn't like it if they were here to solely to diss Romney.

I agree with AZ. We should maintain our identity in all of our comments. I do. These outsiders are not interested in becoming part of our group, they're only here slam Palin.

So, Jersey and RW, just ignore them until they go away. Kinda like I do Craig and teledude over at race.

See, that's where you new anon SP haters go off the rails. You talk about Shailey Trip. How stupid is that? There's NO evidence for it. You say things like Palin had her tubes tied. There's no evidence for that either! Nonsense. Stick to the evidence, and you won't make yourselves so ridiculous.

To any Anon comments:

Palin's family, including her husband and their relationship, her kids and their relationship to her, and any other NON-POLITICAL issues related to her are off limits and WILL BE (and have been)DELETED!

Thanks, Bos. If anon wants to make a political argument as to why Obambi's foreign policy is so wonderful, I, and others would surely love to hear it. The same folks called Bush "Hitler, and called him a war criminal only a few short years ago. Where is the left now? Why is Obama getting a pass? Are you suddenly in favor of war?

Anonymous said...

Right Wing NUT...I havent seen any pro Obama anons here, however, I have seen many people who see Palin for who she is, and it's not presidential. People who support Romney would never support a quitter.

JR, you give us too much credit. Do a simple search, and you'll find this as one of the first pages. We did not 'ruin' this site. I agree that the Anon's need to sign names, or call signs or something. But we are not the all powerful ones. I don't think Bosman wanted this to be an echo chamber, ala c4p anyway. Thats the reason he has software in place that put this at the top of search engines.

The comment at 1:05 was signed "AZ" but it wasn't me. One of the anons probably hijacked my name to be clever. I will disavow that one, although it wasn't particularly poisonous. I want people to come to know me through the contents of my comments, not because of their infamy!

Sparky, some of what you said might be true if not for the screen capture that implicates you inviting the liberal trolls to this site. I cannot speak for Bosman but, correct me if I'm wrong, he did name the site RIGHTspeak...not politicalspeak or rightandleftspeak...he named it rightspeak.

Why you must always mention c4p is beyond me...it cannot be compared to this site because c4p was designed to be a Palin fan site...I do not think this site was designed to be a Romney fan site...perhaps an extraordinarily friendly Romney site but not a complete Romney fan site.
