Ironically, it was a rather good week for Mr. Huckabee after all, we will see if this trend continues or not. Let perhaps this should be a lesson for him. Kissing the boots of the party establishment may not have been the best strategy for him in the first place. I guess Wisconsinite are glad that Mr. Huckabee grew a pair especially with regards to their own state. Time will also tell whether the events of Wisconsin have changed Mr. Huckabee for the better or not.

Fox should fire him... unless he has already told them he's not running, and his worshipers just are not listening to the drumbeats?

Yes A.J.R., the name struck. He is lucky that he has not gotten a worse name. The man is not the brightest bulb in the package. If he was, he'd have a few original ideas of his own instead of hiding behind certain polls

OJ, The problem with your theory is that the poll was conducted Feb 24-27. Not that it really matters. All polls are bullsh*t this far out anyway.

I will not give Aron Goldman a click.

Granny T said...

You sound a little bitter toward Aron there RW. I must have missed something.

Wisconsin has gone blue since '88 but Bush just barely lost in 2000 and 2004. Things didn't look too good for Republicans in the last match up against Obama; but Huckabee did poll the best against him.

OhioJOE said...

Yes, Granny T, if you have no clue why we hate Pollman, than you have your head in the sand. WWake up and smell the Coffee or at least the TEA!

"OJ...I wonder who Banned at ROS is?" hmmm, perhaps Christy. Then again it could be any number of people

Granny T said...

I smell the coffee every day - 3 cups worth. But, I still don't know why you hate Aron. Is it because you're shooting the messenger because you don't like what the polling shows? Or did he say something offensive?

Anonymous said...

Granny T,

Back in the days of ROS, Pollman was responsible for banning most of (if not all of) the Palin supporters and others HE deemed "too Conservative". He had RW, OJ, myself, jerseyrepublican and others banned because he didn't like what we had to say. That is why we don't have too high of an opinion of him. I personally think he equals a turd floating in the toilet but I am only speaking for myself.

A.J.R.

OhioJOE said...

Not to sound synical AJR, I have a sneaky suspicion that Granny T knows this, but she'd sooner play the ignorant card pretend not to know the facts. That we she won't look like an Uncle Tom. However, we are too smart for her and she is not winning herself any friends with her behavior.

Anonymous said...

OJ....I am willing to give Granny T the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. I would advise her to watch her back around Pollman though, he would stab her right in the back if it suited him.

Just keep posing with Giuliani, Pollman....you look great!! Guiliani looked like he was looking for a way to escape but that's OK, champ. I'm sure he remembered you for maybe 5-10 seconds after you tricked him to be in that picture with you.

I didn't know that Aron was responsible for banning people at ROS. Sorry to hear that.

IMO he still does the best at posting polling data in an easy to read format that shows the trends from previous polls.

Right Wingnut said...

Granny T, I recall poll man calling one of your posts "spam" and deleting it. It was a poll that showed Joe Miller leading Murkowski. As it turns out, the poll was correct. How did that make you feel?

Granny T said...

Right Wingnut,
I didn't know who deleted it or why. Not even my closest friends or family agree with everything I do or say - so why should I get upset when an internet "friend" gets upset? I'm an easy going person that has learned to put up with stuff most of the time - although my Irish temper does get the best of me on occasions. I try to put myself on timeout when that happens.

I'm not surprised that some of Palin's fans are just like she is--thin-skinned and playing the victim 24/7.

Get over Aron Goldman, already. He was one of the best things about Race and ROS. He certainly has more integrity than Kris and Kavon combined.

I'm sorry you were banned. I was also banned numerous times, yet you don't hear me whining about it. Of course, no one (but the possible exception of Craig) should be banned.

AJR, maybe he didn't like your potty mouth--another trait you have in common with your fearless leader!

Don't take me too seriously. I like all you guys!

Martha...Seriously, you may think Pollman has integrity but I find anyone who would ban someone just because they don't like Palin and they don't want ROS/Race to be "too Conservative" to have little integrity at all.

I don't think saying turd makes me a potty mouth. I could have said some really bad curse words but I wanted to be nice. Saying turd is like saying that Pollman eats boogers and has cooties. Oops...I did it again. I will was my mouth out with soap later.

Yes RW, you and I have a better memory that Granny T. Either that or she is pretending to forget the details of what we remember well.

Granny T said...

"Turd" and "poopy" both belong in the potty. Boogers belong in tissues and cooties need RID.

I NEVER claimed to have a good memory. That is one of the things I've struggled with especially since my auto accident in Feb. of '94. I'm lucky I have any memory left at all - or even to still be alive. A truck hauling a trailer full of utility polls turned and the polls went through my windshield in the other lane and hit my head pretty hard. I have a metal plate in my head and really do have a screw loose; but don't want to have surgery to get it tightened. I save lots of links in bookmarks and print lots of information to use when I need to refresh my memory. Who banned who or deleted which posts was never that big of an issue to waste time or effort on - even when those posts were mine.

Anonymous said...

Yes, OJ. Aron Goldman doesn't lie, therefore, he has more integrity than the other 2 combined. Absolutely. I disagree with him on banning you guys, for sure.

Listen, if you folks could have seen the emails Kavon sent me wherein he said very insulting things to me personally, as well as many other Romney supporters at race--including the very nice Romney fans. I think you would be surprised to know what he's really like, and not just the persona he pretends to be at race.

And then there's the ever-lying, ever tantrum-throwing Kris.

Sorry, I'll take the straightforward and sane Aron Goldman over the other 2 any day.

As for Kavon and Kris, I don't really know either one of them. I was banned from ROS after only one post because I had the gall of pointing out the hypocrisy of a certain GOP Establishment Loving Guy (with the George H. W. Bush picture) from Florida who always seems to vote for Democrats. I never got the chance to see how those two were but I will take your word for it gosh dangit.

I to was banned at ROS.

I commented on Bosman's response post to Kris attack on Romney.

Kris doesn't like to be showed up. That was the last post I commented on. My files were all wiped out.

I believe it was Kris who banned me or it was someone who wanted me to think it was Kris.

OhioJOE said...

"Aron Goldman doesn't lie" Well, in most books, failing to tell the truth is not a lot better than lieing. You might be technically right that he did not lie outright, but he certainly was the master of half truthes and mis-information. Furthermore, it was interesting how he trashed Ras. Pollman is an example of what is wrong with the GOP. He is full of shenanigans, he stired up division and he helped to harm the GOP name. Those that defend him just look rather silly. The man is truly a disgrace.

Right Wingnut said...

All I had to do to get banned was to post an article from Foxnews.com explaining how a wing from a plane crashed through the roof of the proposed mosgue site...along with my words.."It's ground zero enough for me."

This was in response to Aron posting a bunch of articles to make his point that it's not part of groun zero.

OhioJOE said...

"I believe it was Kris who banned me or it was someone who wanted me to think it was Kris." I cannot speak for individual cases, but it is my understanding that both things happened. Yes, Kris was guilty of banning people, but Pollman also banned people while making it look like Kris did it. So much for Mr. Cut and Paste Honesty.

AJR - Sure, I'm not the nicest around. I freely admit that. ;-) But the other Romney fans are all great.

FYI - Kavon threatened to ban me, and then every other Romney fan--for the comments of another poster. Each comment from this person was going to be one Romney supporter axed until we were all gone. Now how childish is that?

They guy has issues, what can I say? I also noticed that poor Kavon could not drum up one kind syllable for IG. Everyone over at race expressed their sorrow, but Kavon couldn't bring himself to do it. Says a lot, IMO.

So, I think you guys are going after the wrong person.

Martha....I think you are nice too. There...I just did my good deed for the day. :)

If Kavon did what you say (and I have no reason to not believe you), then that is really lame. It sounds like a cheesy hostage sequence in CSI: Miami. I can picture him saying, "Hey Horatio Caine, I'm going to ban a Rombot everytime "so and so" comments".

That is a shame that Kavon didn't say anything about IG. I know from jersey that IG has been posting on Race/ROS for years. He should have said something.

Pollman still stinks.

Granny, you are so dang nice that it almost makes me feel bad to abuse Huckabee.

I often enjoy RWN's humor. Even, sometimes, when he is making fun of Romney. I think he is pretty smart too.

I don't think AJR has been all that crude, at least on this thread.

I admire OJ's passion, even when I think it is misplaced. Same goes for Jersey. And I like that jersey can cross lines and engage in meaningful discussion, even if he won't budge in the process.

I have said rude things to OJ, RWN, and jersey in the past, but they have each been welcoming to me here, and I appreciate that. It's too bad that Aron was banning people, but the bannings started with Kris banning Martha and Ellie, then deleting a blog of mine. I liked Aron, and Jonathon as well. Still do. And I have less use for Kris than I would a used Kleenex. But I can still like you other slobs :)

OJ, Martha is telling the truth about K and K. Just because she likes Aron, doesn't mean that you have to dismiss what she says about the K's. Just because I have written nasty things about Palin in the past, doesn't mean that I can't make worthwhile points about someone else, like Daniels.

A.J.R.

OhioJOE said...

Well DanL, to be clear, I do not think you are a bad person because you have said certain things about Mrs. Palin and the Palinites. The point is that I find it rather difficult to believe that Kavon would be that stupid. In fearness, I do remember the day when Kavon called Matha and Ellie and disgrace to Mormonism because of their shenanigans. He went on to say that if he was a Mormon, he would put them in their place to save the good name of his religion. Many people (both Mormons and non-Mormons) correctly pointed out to Kavon, that Mormons should not get a bad reputation based on the actions of a few. However, Kavon made it clear that he would not start banning people in general.

As for Kris, yes he did (I think) wrongly ban people, but the number of people that he banned was rather small compared to Pollman. Furthermore, let's just say that Pollman had some serious issues that went beyond banning.

I think Kavon's biggest problem was his lack of management skills. About a month ago, Kavon and MarK came on here and tried to explain what when on. Let's just say there stories did not exactly match. Since I believe both men to be honest, I think Kavon truly did not know how bad the contest between Kris and Pollman got. This Contest caused a lot of bitterness and we are all still paying the price.

Dan, you came on here, and set me straight. Sometimes (most) I don't think enough before I post, and today has been one of those days. So I regret making something out of nothing. I, too, like all the folks around here, even though I can get nasty about Palin and Huck.

OJ, I can't help it if you don't believe me about Kavon's threats to me in an email. I'm telling the truth. You do probably remember when he banned Heath. He said he would ban one Romney supporter for every comment that a certain poster made, because he could not get them to stop posting. Here was the order: Me, Heath, IG and so forth until all Romney supporters were gone. He also used some choice words to describe all of us.

I told him that I was not responsible for anything anyone else said--Romney supporter or not. But it was too late, and he banned me and then Heath, but stopped short of IG. Heath was banned for nothing, other than Kavon didn't like him. He was completely harmless. Don't you remember Heath asking why he was going to be banned?

Kavon banned me and claimed that I had said something about Palin's family. But I didn't. Unfortunately, when you tick off the owner, they get to control the narrative. Kris was always changing what I said, and also lying about me, calling me a bigot, etc.

It's all true, take it or leave it. From my point of view, Goldman, even though he banned you guys for no reason, has my respect, while the other 2 don't.

I never had any problem with Kavon, but then, I wasn't a Rombot. I'll take Martha's word for what happened. I could see why someone would have problems with Kris, though. He was pretty ridiculous sometimes.

But I understand and agree with the gripes about Goldman. At least Kris wasn't around all the time. Goldman was there constantly.

Kris would occasionally post ridiculous stuff about Romney, and then he'd get excoriated in the comments. I don't know how many of the comments he would delete, if any, but there were plenty of strongly disagreeing comments that he left up.

Aron, on the other hand, didn't post articles (other than polls), but he constantly linked to ridiculous stuff about Palin from places like Huffington Post or Politico. Then if you would post any comments offering strong disagreement, he would delete your comments and possibly even ban you. So basically it was administrator-endorsed attacks and no way to respond.

He banned me back in June last year, a few weeks after I had joined. He linked to a ridiculous article on HuffPo and copy-pasted some of it. I quickly posted a comment saying that the article should have been left on Huffington Post and calling it "stupid." (I was careful, as usual, to avoid personal attacks on other people; so my comment was directed at the article and not Aron himself). He deleted my comment and banned me within the next 15 minutes or so. By that time, I had written a longer comment that refuted the article, point-by-point. So that comment, when I posted it, showed up as Anonymous. He quickly deleted that one too.

I would have been completely fine with it if he had just deleted my belligerent comment and done nothing else, but banning me and then deleting my substantive comment was waaaay overboard.

I made a new profile right away, but for a couple of months I was blocked from his posts. After a while he un-blocked me. I always felt like I had to pussy-foot around him though; he never allowed any challenges to his attacks on Palin. One time, I offered a disagreement with something, I forget what it was; he deleted my comment. Then I said something about my comment disappearing, nothing snarky, but trying for an "innocent" tone; immediately I was again blocked from his posts.
