The left offers suggestions to Obama to capitalize on the Arizona tragedy

Within hours of the mass shooting in Arizona, former Newsweek editor Howard Fineman on Saturday was offering Barack Obama tips on how to manipulate the outburst of violence for his political advantage.
Complete story here.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you spell hypocrite? Listen to Fineman in this video. The same man who wanted President Obama to take advantage of this tragedy.

Talk about being able to talk out of both sides of your mouth:

Of course they were. This was a cooridinated attack. As you go from story to story, you find the same exact theme over and over again.

Some on our side choose to see this as just an attack on Palin and the tea party, yet fail to realize that it's an attack on the right as a whole. They see this as an opportunity to silence opponents of their liberal agenda. The real reason they don't like Palin's map, is because 18 of them lost in November. If it wasn't Palin, it would be someone else.

RWN - We agree!

It is an attack on the entire Right, and it going to make 2012 even more difficult.

Thank you Sarah Palin.

No it's not martha. As I said, if it wasn't Palin, it would have been someone else. There's no point in going back and forth, but I've already pointed out the hypocricy of the left. The backlash is and will be huge. The left really stepped in it this time. They're already searching out other targets, ie. Bachmann, O'Reilly, Fox News, etc. They're making fools of themselves. When it's all said in done, the only people that will cling to their narrative wouldn't vote for Palin, Huck, or Romney anyway. Relax, Martha. Remember, GWB was called a murderer and worse, but still managed to win reelection.

There's probably no point in us discussing this, because you'd never defend Palin anyway. Fortuanately, your preferred candidate uses a different approach. Although he isn't my candidate of choice, I appreciate that he has been rather civil while discussing potential primary opponents, unlike Huckabee.

Palin always plays the POOR victim. She needs to go away. She's killing the Republicans chances to beat Obama.

How the media can try to spin the actions of a left leaning nut job into a conservative problem and expect it to stick is beyond me.

Right Wingnut said...

War Eagle has just announced that he's not interested in civil discussion. Just troll around and throw bombs, and see what kind of reaction he gets.

Phil gets it. Thank you.

I don't think this tragedy had anything to do with rhetoric - violent, political or otherwise. It was the act of a mentally disturbed young man.

All that being said, I don't like rhetoric that incites violence.

THis guy is a known socialist leftist kook. How can we be so stupid as to not know how to turn this around? SOMEBODY needs to go a little off their rocker to make the point so everybody gets it.

Martha is back. Missed you.

I think you are mistaken: This will make 2012 easier.

The Left and their media over the last couple of years always seem to fall into the very hole they dig for us. It’s happened many times even just counting Palin. The sanely-leaning independents are catching on that the Leftist media lies. This is good for all of us.

The media will attack relentlessly whoever becomes the GOP candidate. The more that know they are liars, the better for us.

So cheer up. The Left are digging their own hole yet again. But you can still thank Sarah if you want.

"I think you are mistaken: This will make 2012 easier." BINGO, how soon they forget the Wellstone Memorial.

BTW, it is interesting to note that Revolution 2010 and BOSMAN are being nice enough to go out of their way, not to blame the TEA Party. Unfortunately, their comrades appear to celebrate the fact the TEA Partiers are being attacked. It has been quite an eye-opener.

OJ, No 'comrades' are blaming the tea party, or celebrating that the tea party is being attacked. Nonsense.

The truth is that the rhetoric of Beck, Palin, Limbaugh and SOME in the tea party is out of control, and needs to be be reined in.

I think most thoughtful people in both parties agree with that. It's a new day, and maybe the discourse will be elevated. We Republicans should at least try.

"The truth is that the rhetoric of Beck, Palin, Limbaugh and SOME in the tea party is out of control, and needs to be be reined in." That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in some time, I fear you lost it. If anybody needs to be REINED IN, it is liberals and moderates.

OJ, I should have said, they need to rein in themselves. I hope they do.

I doubt very much that we will hear RELOAD very much anymore from Palin.
