Secure our Mexican border NOW!

How many more of our American border agents must perish before President Obama feels that it is important enough to secure our border along Mexico?

Today, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was confronted by the news media after fallen border agent Brian Terry's funeral service. It appears like most Americans, the Terry family isn't buying what President Obama and Janet Napolitano are selling.

Just how bad is it at the border? I posted the following thread back in June as just ONE EXAMPLE of just how bad it is there. It doesn't appear that much has changed:

===========================================
A park in Arizona popular with hikers and off road vehicles, now has signs warning residents of the drug and Human Smugglers.

Two men shot earlier this week could be the result of the ongoing battle between Mexican drug cartels now spilling over deep into Arizona, officials say.
Pinal County investigators say an area known as the smuggling corridor now stretches from Mexico's border to metro Phoenix.

Bill O'Reilly discusses the situation there with Pinal County Sheriff:

In a related topic, Mexico's President Calderon directly blamed the United States for the drug smuggling problem..

"The origin of our violence problem begins with the fact that Mexico is located next to the country that has the highest levels of drug consumption in the world," Calderón wrote. "It is as if our neighbor were the biggest drug addict in the world."

If we're going to continue to let Mexican drug and Human smugglers to run rough shot on our U.S. soil, maybe President Obama should consider giving them their own area. I say leave Arizona alone. Maybe he can cut a chunk out of Mexifornia instead.

Anyone who doesn't believe there is a war going on at our Mexican border, is naive.

I believe much of Mexico's attitude is based on history. Many Mexicans there believe our southern border states belong to Mexico.

They lost the war, but they're still fighting the battle.

Calderon is such a scumbag. Such an analogy he's using...if someone in your neighbor's home is a "drug addict" then its okay to break into his home, shooting anyone who tries to stop you, to sell that person drugs. I mean, who could resist such a temptation, right? The guy WAS willing to buy drugs, after all.

With allies like that, who needs enemies?

I can't imagine how hard it must be for those Americans who live close to the border. Short of moving, how do you protect your family from any overflow of these terrorist/criminal elements?

What are we waiting for before we act?

The invasion, has already started.

This post will receive a response when I get a chance. But for now...

1. There is very little violence on the American side of the border (I have a lot of empirical evidence to back this up -will post it later)

2. Calderon is right -- the violence (in Mexico) never goes away until the United States lowers its drug addiction

3. There is more border security guards on post today than there was during the Bush administration. The United States government currently spends nearly $20 billion a year on immigration enforcement.

4. Deportations have risen during the Obama administration.

Or they can just continue to live where they are at in perfect peace and harmony. Violent crime in Arizona, for instance, has decreased in the past two years. It is a much safer place to live than most major cities.

Count me among the naive. There is a war going on on the Mexican side of the border. The war is being waged between drug cartels and leaders (capos) over plazas, or points of distribution into the United States. It is NOT an invasion. The drug cartels have no desire to wage this war in the United States. Neither is this war being fought by Mexicans who want to "reclaim their lands."

Pablo,

Are you living in southern Arizona?

So all the above videos and others showing violence there are STAGED?

If you live on the Mexican side Pablo Are you living near the Arizona border? You sound so definitive in your responses. Who are you trying to defend?
