In Michigan, native son Mitt Romney is the only of the four GOPFavorable/Unfavorable/not sure:
presidential frontrunners who currently threatens Obama’s chances of winning that state again in 2012. The same was true in results PPP released last week in Romney’s adopted home state of Massachusetts. Here, the president tops the others by 12-21 points, but edges Romney by only four.
Newt Ginrich 28/50/5
Mike Huckabee 37/40/23
Sarah Palin 34/60/6 (Ouch!)
Mitt Romney 39/37/24
Head-to-Head with Obama:
(Obama/Candidate/undecided)
Newt Gingrich 52/37/12 (-15)
Mike Huckabee 51/39/10 (-12)
Sarah Palin 56/35/9 (-21)
Mitt Romney 47/43/10 (-4)
PPP surveyed 1,224 Michigan voters from December 3rd to 6th. The survey’s margin of error is +/-2.8%. Other factors, such as refusal to be interviewed and weighting, may introduce additional error that is more difficult to quantify.Click the icon below for cross-tabs:

This is too funny. Mr. Romney still loses in the Blue state of Michigan. A state not needed for a Republican to win the White House anyway.
OHIO JOE
OJ, what the heck are you talking about? Why is it not expected that a conservative would lose in a blue state? That makes no sense whatsoever. I've noticed ever since you have become a Palin supporter, your logic has been sliding. Nice try though! :)
IG, it is rather entertaining that you try to suggest that your camp leader is a true Conservative. However, I will spell it out for you. You guys like to jump up and down and yell 'LOOK, MITT can win Michigan.' First of all, who care. More to the point, even though he comes close, he still cannot win it.
BTW, as for my logic sliding, whatever floats your boat.
OHIO JOE
OJ,
With a MOE of 2.8%, Romney is basically TIED with Obama. Now how is Palin doing?
Seems MOST have already made up their minds on Palin. THEY DON'T LIKE! THEY DON'T WANT!
zeke
"With a MOE of 2.8%, Romney is basically TIED with Obama. Now how is Palin doing?" Hello, it is only Michigan. "THEY DONT LIKE! THEY DONT WANT!" Ooooooh, I'm really shaking in my boot with their PDS.
OHIO JOE
Congratulations Mitt for being tied (moe)with Obama in MI and leaving the other 2012 candidates in the dust.
OJ - Let's assume for a moment Michigan is sooooo uniportant for defeating Obama. Let's also assume Palin is the GOP Nominee he faces.
Please spell out for us, in detail, her path to 270 Electoral votes.
(Hint: You'll still be figuring out the answer while Obama is sworn in for term two.)
Take it easy on OJ. He's really a nice guy. He just got caught up in that pretty face/short skirt and hasn't been rational sense.
I-Guy,
Sexist comments like that will only solidify the bond between Palin and her supporters.
I can't believe she is even fighting with tea party leaders. They wanted to back her for national GOP chairman, and she turns them down less than gracefully. This Mich. branch will now back Anuzis instead.
It wasn't meant to be sexist RWN. The truth is for several million of her followers, if she looked like Meg Whitman (not really that bad), she wouldn't have gotten out of the batters box.
What if Mitt looked like Barney Frank?
Would you get off the RNC chair thing? ONE tea party leader from ONE of hundreds of tea party organizations does not speak for the entire movement.
She would never consider the RNC chairmanship. It's ridiculous for anyone to speculate otherwise.
"ONE tea party leader from ONE of hundreds of tea party organizations does not speak for the entire movement." - RWN

You should try and keep those words in mind when touting Palin as the TP favorite or claiming the TP is anti-Romney.
"ONE tea party leader from ONE of hundreds of tea party organizations does not speak for the entire movement."
Amen!
I know several high profile SO-CALLED Tea Party leaders. NONE of them would support Palin in the primaries. MOST would support Romney.
So, NO ONE owns the Tea Party
