Fox News is putting together a series of 12 profiles for who they feel are potential 2012ers. All but Mitt Romney have agreed to be interviewd.
Special Report with Bret Baier is launching a 12-day series on the topic called “12 in ‘12″ that each day will feature a profile of one of 12 Republicans who may launch presidential bids for the 2012 race. Exclusive interviews with 11 of the 12 candidates are planned for the profiles, which begin Thursday evening.
The candidates are:
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty
South Dakota Sen. John Thune
former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin
former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee
former House Speaker Newt Gingrich
Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour
South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint
Indiana Rep. Mike Pence
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal
former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney

If I was Mitt Romney, this is what I would consider:
- I'm doing fine in the polls WITHOUT Fox News.
- Does Fox News have any horses in the race?
- Will anyone get the questions first?
- Will some get softball questions and others hardball questions?
- Will the profiles be set-up with a goal in mind? Such as, making certain candidate(s) look better than others
- Will Fox News edit footage with certain goals in mind?

I agree 110%. If I was Romney, I wouldn't trust Fox. He doesn't need them.

I would have liked to see him profiled, but I can understand why he's not doing it. I agree that Fox has horses in the race.
I think Romney should stay in the back ground as long as he can because once the announcement is made the MEDIA will attack hard.
This is a major problem for America, not just Romney. When a "News Organization" has so many potential people on their payroll, how can they objectively cover, profile or otherwise report on them.
Big conflict of intrest/objectivity questions need to be asked here.
I must say my sympathy is limited. The Romney camp has trashed Fox news almost as much as the Dems do and now all of a sudden they want to go on the Conservative network. It is not always possible to have one's cake and eat it too.
OHIO JOE
OJ,
Read my Post! I DON'T really want Romney to give the interview.
All the past slams against Fox BEING IN THE BAG, were well deserved.
Tell me, they're not pushing Palin and on a lesser scale, Huckabee and Gingrich.
I heard Fox was going to run a profile on Romney with just the videos they have and no interview. I don't know how true this is.
Why would they promote Mrs. Palin. She is the Conservative candidate and the other networks promote their own networks.
OHIO JOE
OHIO JOE,
Because she works for them. They should at least give the other candidates equal billing. That would be the Fair and Ballanced thing to do.
Fair And Balanced as compared to What? They're as biased toward Palin as LSM is towards Obama.
