Cavuto and Palin on Mitt Romney

Governor Palin sat down with Neil Cavuto for the first time today. It sure sounds like she's running to me. Romney may get his wish after all. Speaking of Romney--Cavuto asked her if she would support him for President. I'm not going to ruin the surprise! You'll just have to watch. By the way, contrary to popular belief, she did not vote for him in the 2008 primary.

She did vote for him last time. Either she was lying then or she is lying now.

Poltical,

Provide the evidence.

What was the surprise?

Doug, Nice exchange over on C4P today.

Doug, I suspect her answer was a "surprise" to many Romney supporters who believe her endorsement of Mitt is in the bag.

This portion of the interview made "Quote of the Day" at Hot Air.

“Establishment bosses and advisors that try to shape a candidate and get paid to shape that candidate. It’s very sleazy. Some within the establishment don’t like the fact that I won’t back down to a good old boys club. I have taken them on for 20 years and I have cleaned up corruption and I have done what the people have hired me have asked me to do, the voters, and I would continue to do that so maybe that makes some people a little uncomfortable. A lot of this has to do with control, power, money. If they know right off the bat that I believe they are sleazy and unethical and part of a machine that’s not good for the country and l wouldn’t hire them, it has to do with a frustration with that.”

RWN -- LOL, Not really - I got slaughtered. They really have some loons running wild over there. It's kind of funny - they hate the nameless sources that disparage Palin, yet they believe those same nameless sources when they say Romney is behind it. How do you account for that kind of logic? BTW,that SarahFanUK chick has some attitude -- mouth like a trucker.

I think it's too early to think of anyone endorsing anyone else. We don't know who is running or not. I fully expect people, whether the run or lose in the primaries, to support the eventual nominee.

As far as the hesitation you and IG spoke about earlier, I didn't really pick up on that (watched it 2x) but I think she gave an honest answer, Romney would be a fine candidate. Anyone looking more at this point is overreaching.

This is the Palin you're going to see if she runs...there's an everyday comfortability in this interview. It's like she's sitting across the kitchen table from you or across the booth from you at your local diner. If this Palin runs...she wins the nomination and possibly the Presidency.

As I said in a previous post, there are 3 things that will either keep Palin from running or make her run. As of now she seems ready to throw her hat in the ring.

Charles this is the 21st century. Everyday families make sacrifices...everyday.

There is a video out there that has a then Governor Palin being asked who she likes in the primary (2008). She SAID Romney because he is saying all the right things that would be better for her state. She didn't bring up Ron Paul, until SHE WAS ASKED. Here it is HERE:

I don't like the the whole "I'll make sacrifices to run" mantra. We don't need to be saved by St. Sarah. If she wants to run, she should WANT the job. We don't need a martyr coming to the rescue.

There are a lot of good people out there, I think Romney's the best, but there are many others.

To speak about making a sacrifice for the good of the country,is arrogant, conceited and way to egotistical. Palin needs to drop this line - ASAP.

If she couldn't "sacrifice and stay on as Gov, why should we believe she's making such a sacrifice now?

What a crock!

That's why there's vanilla and chocolate Doug. But please, I beg you please don't start dredging up the past and the quitting meme...we've heard it all before on ROS. I was hoping this was going to be a different type of site? You choose not to believe her repeated reasons for resigning. Either get over it or get a new attack. BTW, I'm still waiting for the positive Palin piece.

zeke - just because Palin said in an interview that she liked Romney doesn't mean she voted for him...she could've been talking about his hair.

Washington was a reluctant leader.
Sarah Palin too, it seems.
She may choose to lead, not because she wants power, but to serve.
This may be the exact kind of leader we need.
