Since the beginning of this day, 173 combat engagements have taken place on the front.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy carried out 55 airstrikes, dropping 178 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 5,745 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,932 shelling attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops.
On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers carried out three assault actions, launched two airstrikes using six guided bombs, and conducted 47 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, one of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.
On the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy did not conduct any assault actions.
On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted six times to improve its positions by conducting assault actions toward Kupiansk and Radkivka.
Four attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled on the Lyman direction in the area of Zarichne and toward Lyman. One more engagement is ongoing.
On the Slovyansk direction, the Defence Forces stopped one attempt by the invaders to advance in the area of the settlement of Kryva Luka. On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any assault actions.
On the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defence Forces repelled 16 enemy assaults in the area of the settlement of Kostiantynivka and toward the settlements of Rozkishne, Mykolaipillya, and Novohryhorivka.
The enemy carried out 22 attacks on the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance near the settlements of Matiasheve, Molodetske, and toward the settlements of Toretske, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Svitlo, Dobropillya, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Filiya. --->READ MORE HERE
On October 18, there were 173 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian forces, with the enemy making the most attempts to attack in the Pokrovsk sector, where they launched 22 assaults.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported in the General Staff’s battlefield update as of 22:00.
