If You’re Freezing Your Eggs At 36 Like AOC, You’ve Been Lied To:
Contrary to the messaging that’s permeated our culture since the sexual revolution, fertility can’t be controlled.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants a baby, but not enough to get married to her longtime fiancé and try to conceive one naturally now. Instead, the 36-year-old democratic socialist plans to freeze her eggs so that sometime in the undefined future she can pay to get possibly get pregnant.
Even more shocking than hearing that the Green New Deal architect who once asked if a climate change-induced end of the world means it is “OK to still have children” suddenly has plans to start her own brood is seeing her display the private and sensitive details of her family planning in an influencer-style “get ready with me” livestream over the weekend.
“I want you all to see that. And because women can do anything, and I think it’s bad-ss that I’m going to be giving myself shots in the green room [as I] get my glam on,” she said.
“This is just not something that men deal with,” AOC added. She conveniently omits that it’s not something she has to “deal with” either.
AOC claims she’s undergoing the expensive and physically painful process of egg cryopreservation so she can “feel more in control of my life.” Contrary to the messaging that’s permeated our culture since the start of the sexual revolution, however, fertility can’t be controlled. Anyone pitching something that promises otherwise is simply selling a very pricey illusion of control.
It’s hard to know if hormone shots in the greenroom is political stunt or legitimate attempt to preserve the potential for future pregnancy. Either way, AOC and everyone who believes her recitation about how egg freezing shows “women can do anything” are being duped by an industry that thrives on the lies told by fourth-wave feminism. --->READ MORE HERE
Modern women need to reject the AOC lifestyle and have children when their bodies are primed for it, even if it results in career setbacks.
America’s favorite liberal female Democratic Socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, took to Instagram this weekend to create a get-ready-with-me vlog about freezing her eggs at 36 years old.
In her video, she called the process of pumping her body full of chemicals “bad-ss” and said she felt “empowered” and “more in control of my life.”
Regardless of AOC’s feelings, pursuing fertility at 36 is just about as flawed as starting investing for retirement in your 60s — both are supposed to happen early for maximum payoff. The healthiness of a woman’s eggs and her ability to carry a child to term drop dramatically by the late 30s.

Even leading IVF scientists recognize this. A study by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, a leading IVF research institute, found that only slightly more than 20 percent of women at or over the age of 36 successfully carried a child from their frozen eggs to term.
AOC tried to explain on her Instagram story why women may want to freeze eggs. “They haven’t found their person,” she suggested as one of many reasons, “They want to have a little bit of breathing room so that they don’t feel pressured to enter parenthood with someone they otherwise wouldn’t choose.”
This may be true of AOC, considering she has been in a relationship with the same man for more than a decade (and engaged to him for four years) but shows no signs of getting married or starting a family any time soon.
