A total of 210 combat engagements were recorded along the front line over the past day, with the fiercest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors, where Russian forces launched 45 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its operational update as of 22:00 on July 1, 2026, according to Ukrinform.
"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 210 combat engagements. The aggressor carried out two missile strikes using two missiles, 53 airstrikes involving 158 guided aerial bombs, deployed 6,667 kamikaze drones, and launched 2,150 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas," the statement said.
According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 41 times, including six attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched 13 assaults toward Ternova, Chaikivka, Sheviakivka, Zarubynka, Khatnie, and toward Lyman, Starytsia, and Artilne.
No offensive operations were recorded in the Kupiansk sector.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian attempts to advance near Novoselivka and toward Stavky, Ozerne, and Lyman. One engagement was still ongoing at the time of the report.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully repelled 22 Russian assaults toward Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and near Riznykivka. One battle was still underway.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched three attacks toward Tykhonivka, Mykolaivka, and near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 enemy assaults in the areas of Novodmytrivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, and toward Raiske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces mounted 23 attacks, attempting to advance near Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Udachne, and toward Toretske, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Novohryshyne, and Novopavlivka. --->READ MORE HERE

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions , the enemy conducted 41 shellings of populated areas and our troops' positions, six of which used multiple launch rocket systems.
During the day, in the South-Slobozhanskyi direction , the enemy stormed our units' positions 13 times towards Ternova, Chaikivka, Sheviakivka, Zarubynka, Khatnie, and in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, Artilne.
In the Kupiansk direction , the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
Six attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction in the area of Novoselivka and towards the populated areas of Stavky, Ozerne, Lyman. One more combat engagement is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction , the Defense Forces successfully stopped 22 attempts by the invaders to advance towards the populated areas of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and in the area of Riznykivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction , the Russian invaders carried out three attacks towards Tykhonivka, Mykolaivka, and in the area of Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka direction , the Defense Forces repelled 17 enemy assaults in the areas of the populated areas of Novodmytrivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, and towards Raiske.
The enemy carried out 23 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction .
