The most intense combat operations over the past day continued in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions, where the enemy carried out the highest number of attacks. In total, 173 combat engagements took place at the front. This was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine, according to UNN.
The enemy launched one missile strike using 89 missiles and carried out 56 air strikes, dropping 178 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 6,015 kamikaze drones were deployed for strikes, and 2,054 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops were recorded

In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions , one combat engagement took place today. The enemy launched four air strikes, dropped 13 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 54 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction , the enemy stormed the positions of our units five times in the areas of Fyholivka, Veterynarne, and Starytsia.
In the Kupiansk direction , no enemy offensive actions were recorded today.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian warriors repelled eight attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Drobysheve, Dibrova, Yampil, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction , the Defense Forces successfully repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction , one enemy attack took place in the area of the settlement of Nykyforivka.
The Defense Forces repelled nine enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka direction near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction , the enemy carried out 32 attacks. A total of 173 combat engagements have taken place along the front line, with Russian forces launching 32 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk sector alone and losing more than 60 troops there.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational update posted on Facebook as of 22:00 on May 24, 2026.
“In total, 173 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. The enemy launched one missile strike using 89 missiles, carried out 56 airstrikes dropping 178 guided aerial bombs, deployed 6,015 kamikaze drones, and conducted 2,054 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the military said.
According to the General Staff, one combat engagement occurred today in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out four airstrikes, dropping 13 guided bombs, and launched 54 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attempted five assaults near the settlements of Fyholivka, Veterynarne, and Starytsia.
No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Kupiansk sector.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight attempts by Russian forces to advance near Drobysheve, Dibrova, Yampil, and Lyman.
