Worst Thing GOP Could Do For Midterms Is Embrace Amnesty, So Of Course They’re Doing That:
America is either a nation with defined borders and laws, or it’s not. There is no in-between.
You almost have to admire how far some Republicans are willing to go to lose the 2026 midterms — and ultimately, the country.

Throughout their recent two-week vacation, several GOP lawmakers have been making the media rounds to tout “bipartisan” legislation they claim will finally solve America’s broken immigration system. There’s just one teensy-weensy important detail that somehow gets brushed aside: The bill would allow millions of illegal aliens to continue living in the United States.

Sponsored by Reps. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., and other lawmakers, the so-called DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act permits “certain long-term undocumented immigrants to earn legal status, without amnesty or a path to citizenship” so that foreign nationals who broke U.S. immigration law can have an “opportunity,” according to a Salazar press release. The measure would notably create a “Dignity Program,” which the Florida congresswoman’s office described as a “7-year earned legal status program allowing undocumented immigrants to live and work legally, with renewable status based on good conduct and restitution.”

The revived push to pass the bill appears to be part of sponsors’ recently announced “Dignity Tour” to rally support for the measure and get it through Congress.

It’s bad enough that the legislation’s sponsors felt compelled to give it a deceptive (and dumb) name like the “DIGNIDAD Act.” But it’s even worse that its promoters like Salazar are trying to gaslight Republican voters into thinking that the measure is anything but one giant amnesty package.

America is either a nation with defined borders and laws, or it’s not. There is no in-between. But rather than fulfill their 2024 campaign pledges to ensure the former, it’s clear some Republicans are content with handing out amnesty to foreign lawbreakers like candy on Halloween.

Such a proposal isn’t just asinine because it cripples America’s sovereignty and long-term survival as a nation. It’s also incredibly moronic from a political standpoint. --->READ MORE HERE

GOP Lawmaker Mike Lawler Attempts To Resurrect Amnesty Plan:
Republican New York Rep. Mike Lawler is attempting to resurrect an amnesty plan that was shut down before it could even take off.
Lawler pushed for a mass amnesty plan for illegal immigrants through The Dignity Act in an interview Sunday on Fox New’s One Nation with Brian Kilmeade.
Sponsored by Republican Florida Rep. Maria Salazar and reintroduced in July 2025, the bill is marketed as a comprehensive immigration plan that seeks to end illegal immigration, reform the asylum system, provide a dignified solution for long-term undocumented residents, protect American workers, support key industries, and keep the U.S. prosperous and competitive.
During the interview, Lawler claimed the bill has “broad bipartisan support. In fact, this Congress we have added significantly more co-sponsors than last, because I think folks do recognize that we have a problem.” He argued that the U.S. immigration system has been outdated for decades and needs a major overhaul.
“President Trump was right to focus on securing the border, and he has effectively done that,” Lawler added, citing nine straight months of net border crossings and emphasizing that Trump was right to prioritize the deportation of criminal aliens.
“The next step is to actually fix the broken system,” he said, calling the bill “common sense.”
“If you’ve been here more than five years — so not the people who came under Joe Biden’s disastrous administration, but the people who have been in this country 5, 10, 15, 20 years, whose children and grandchildren may in fact be American citizens — they would qualify if they haven’t committed a crime, they paid back taxes, they pay a fine, they have a job, and they do not collect government benefits,” he continued. “They would qualify for legal status, not citizenship; they would be precluded from citizenship.” --->READ MORE HERE
