Chinese President Xi Jinping told President Trump that Beijing is willing to work with Washington on ending North Korea’s nuclear weapons program through peaceful means, Chinese state media reported Wednesday.
The two leaders also discussed the situation in Syria during the phone call Tuesday night (Wednesday Chinese time), China’s official Xinhua news agency reported.
"Had a very good call last night with the President of China concerning the menace of North Korea," Trump tweeted Wednesday.

The call came after Trump tweeted Tuesday that China should do more on the North Korea issue or the U.S. would go it alone.
