Could it simply be that they like winning elections more than Republicans Do?
Back in 08, I was a big Romney Supporter.
When he lost the nominations, many of my acquaintances (some Romney supporters) refused to vote for John McCain .. 'a RINO'.
I told them that I would 'Suck it up' ... 'pinch my nose' and pull the lever for him. And I Did. The alternative was a lot more unacceptable and I wasn't about to 'waste' my vote on a third party candidate that had a snowball's chance in hell of winning.
You see, I knew that with McCain, I'd agree with him probably 60% of the time .. with OBama .. 0% of the time.
Some of my friends followed suit .. a few voted 3rd party* .. and at least 2 stayed home*. (*ALL indirectly voting for Obama)
Fast forward to 2012
For Some Republicans, Romney wasn't conservative enough .. a 'Rino'. I knew he wasn't a 'RINO' and I ALSO KNEW that I agreed with him on 80% of the issues.
NO ONE will ever find someone they agree with 100% of the time. IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!
So you see, I Don't need a 100% of a PIE to satisfy my political appetite.
When it comes to elections, with ANY REPUBLICAN (including so called RINO's) I know I get a seat at the table and a large slice of Pie. With ANY DEMOCRAT, I Don't get any.
The moral of the story: Let's stop the name calling (the RINO BS). We need EVERYONE to win in the Mid-terms and 2016 .... EVERYONE!
ANGER IS GOOD. If you want to name call, save it for the Democrats.
LET'S START WINNING ELECTIONS AGAIN. The only way to do that is a United Front! And the ONLY WAY of getting a seat at the DC Table, IS WINNING!

Conservatives care about a specific set of issues and any republican that doesn't defend or fight for these issues is a RINO and when the chips are down Ronmey and McCain did not defend conservative viewpoints, they towed the line and did what they were paid to do.

The reason why we don't hear about DINOs is because Democrats are not critical thinkers. They care about meaningless guff and stop paying attention after they get their lip service.
It's 2020 and the secret is out. RINOs get the boot and DINOs get ousted for the traiters they are.
