2nd Amendment Story: Vietnam Vet Jeff Schrader Barred From Owning a Gun Due to 1968 Assault Charge that comes back to haunt him (Full Interview 03-04-13)

Jeff Schrader had been a longtime gun owner since his military service ended, but suddenly his wife went out to a buy him one as a gift and she was told he was now prohibited from owning a gun by federal law. 
According to the new law, the assault charge – which stemmed from a street fight in 1968 – disqualified him from owning a gun. Schrader joined Gretchen Carlson on Fox and Friends this morning, and explained that he thought the assault charge was taken care of decades ago when he paid a fine and court costs.
