Sen Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) interview with the NH Telegraph (Full interview 02-19-13)

Although on the job for little more than a year, Ayotte is quickly making a name for herself on Capitol Hill where she’s frequently tagged to represent the Republican Party’s point of view on various political news programs. 

One of her bigger boosters is former GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain of Arizona. 

“She really is a rising star in the Republican Party,” McCain has said of her. “I can see her being very seriously considered for both vice president, and certainly over time, for the presidential nomination.”

More recently the Nashua native teamed up with McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina to lead the Republican critique of the Obama administration’s handling of the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi.
