Bosman- I know you like McDonnell, but some are saying the the VA tax hike strikes him off any future serious run. http://www.prez16.com/
RomneyMan,He cut the Gas Tax almost in half and raised the sales tax to make up the difference in revenue.He wanted to eliminate the gas tax completely and raise the state tax more than it was raised in the compromise in the VA House between Reps & Dems.He didn't get exactly what he wanted he got about 70%.I call that progress. I also look at his entire record there. I still like him like I still like Ryan and others.I'm a I'd rather have most of a pie than no pie at all kind of guy.
I also prefer him to a few of the names being poked about at the moment.It's very early of course, but I still think jacking sales taxes will haunt him one day. Sales tax hikes affect those who haven't got an automobile
Those with cars don't use public transportation. Yet those taxes will include upgrades/new projects in that area.It all balances out.
