The number of workers taking federal disability insurance payments hit yet another record in July, increasing to 8,753,935 during the month from the previous record of 8,733,461 set in June, according to newly released data from the Social Security Administration.The full story is HERE.
The 8,753,935 workers who took federal disability insurance payments in July exceeded the population of 39 of the 50 states. Only 11 states—California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey—had more people in them than the number of workers on the federal disability insurance rolls in July.

The only solution to the skyrocketing number of people on the public dole is a roaring economy that adds at least 200,000 new jobs per month and raises real wages by 1-2% per year.
Securing the borders and temporarily slowing or halting LEGAL immigration would substantially reduce the number of people on public assistance as well.
With 25 million Americans unemployed, underemployed or no longer looking for work, it's absolutely outrageous that the feds continue to allow over a million foreigners to immigrate each year.
Periodic timeouts on legal immigration in order to allow the economy to absorb new workers are entirely in keeping with American history and tradition.
