Mitt Romney sends leftover Pizza to Obama Headquarters

After spending the day in Chicago fundraising, Mitt Romney sat down with small business owners at Gino's East, a pizza joint famous for their deep-dish pizza. Not wanting any of the leftover slices to go to waste, Romney sent the remaining pies to where else but President Obama's Chicago reelection headquarters.
Full Story HERE.

HERE is the pizza on the way:

  3. Classy, generous and funny. Did anyone at Obama's HQ tweet a thank you?

  4. It sounds like what Microsoft Internet Explorer engineering team did when Mozilla Firefox released version 3 of their software. (Granted, the MSIE team should be greatful, Mozilla saved their jobs!)

  5. A wonderful gesture from the next President of the United States! It was a great reminder that Mitt is there, and will handle business when he's sworn in.

  6. Honestly, anyone who knows me knows I am no supporter of President Obama(other than the fact that he is our President and that deserves him our respect) but this is one of the various reasons I do not like Romney...what a petty mean spirited thing to do...we're supposed to be better than that. Were there bites taken out of the pieces...or just crusts. This immature behavior reminds me of when Romney felt the need to interrupt Rudy's concession speech in '08 or McCain's speech in Michigan...the man lacks class!!!

  7. BTW, Bosman, I really like this new commenting! I also had the displeasure of having to click, submit comment, 3 times before the "code" would appear for me to type in...I think it's a Safari thing...this way is much better!

  8. JR...

I keep thinking if another candidate had done this....let's just say Palin, then some people....let's just say Ellie, Martha, dd, General Pablo, CraigS, that little 3rd String Rombot (I think his name was Highfly) and others would be saying how low class Palin is. They would also add that someone as classy as Romney would never do something like that.

  10. You guys...

The whole point behind this is that Romney was in Chicago in Obama's back yeard, raising money.

He was leaving the "leftover" money to Obama... and the leftover pizza.

And I'm sure these pizzas were never touched.

  11. Sam....

I get the point. I was just making an observation.

  12. JR,

I'm assuming your displeasure with Romney and the pizza gesture is tongue-n-cheek.

  13. As someone who will happily accept someone's leftover pizza, I fail to see how this is "classless." I guess I must not have any class either.

  15. How petty of the Romney staff. Noelle, do really think the intention was to share? I think the Obama campaign can afford to buy their own pizza. Mt sentiments echo those of JR. Classless.

  16. Yeah, right. If the Palin camp did this, we'd be hearing about the cojones and so forth. Its only "classless" in your eyes because Romney did it, and even then you have to distort it as though he just sent crusts...

  17. GetReal, I assume you're referring to me...I think you might be forgetting that I was one of the Palin supporters that thought she should have congratulated the President, more than she did, for killing Bin Laden...SO...I do not base these types of opinions on who I support.

In fact, like I said to Martha, why does every critique of Romney, by a Palin supporter, require the Romney supporters to make a rebuttal including Palin? This thread isn't about Palin...it's about Romney. The crusts part was to make a point...but leftovers are leftovers...scraps are scraps...classless is classless!!!
