How convenient that you cut off the screen cap to not show that Perry, Pence and Christie were also part of the poll--all tea party favorites who are highly unlikely to run.

RWN,

Why don't you READ the entire post?

Not to many words now. Give it a try. Especially the part that says, "To see the results for rest of the field of candidates, click the icon below:"

BTW, Palin's not looking so good. Maybe she should give tv a rest as well!

Bos, This poll was conducted to make Palin look bad. Why else would they include two tea party favorites who have said over and over again that thet are not running, and a third who is likely running for Gov of Indiana. Throw those three out, and you likely get a similar result to the Quninnipiac poll.

Most of Christie will go to Romney if he is not in. Without Romney, Chris wouldn't have gotten out of the batter's box. Christie will endorse Mitt in a heartbeat...just watch, and tremble!

LOL. Hot Air and Free Republic are both frequented by many Christie supporters. Go ask if they agree with that assessment.

LOL!

While you're there, Ask them if the agree with Christie's assessment of Palin's chances. Check out the last thread.

Actually...many who like Christie also like Palin. Not a smart move on his part...particularly since they were both guests of Jets owner, Woody Johnson at a game recently, where according to Palin, Christie was very complimentary of her.

Can you imagine Palin doing the same thing to Christie? Didn't think so.

Hot Air & Freepers are not the base of Chris Chritie's support. Thiose are the types who would have referred to him as a RINO in the election, and were most likely disappointed in his moderate Mosque comments, where he clearly took a position directly opposed to Palin's.

To suggest this poll was done to make Palin look bad is so lame a laughable. Is that the new mantra for the future whenever bad numbers come out? Can't trust the polls! Can't trust the media! At this rate you'll be suspicious of the American people themselves, when they decide "Thanks, but no thanks!"

Doug, Compare this poll to the other recent GOP primary polls and objectively ask yourself how you can take these results seriously.

On another note, I'd like to see a question added to the GOP polls:

"Are you familiar with the health care bill enacted in MA by former Gov Mitt Romney?"

It could then be followed up with:

"Does the bill make you a)More likely to vote for Romney, b)Less likely to vote for Romney, or c)Makes no difference.

Doug,

Actually the biggest disapointment among conservatives is when Christie stood shoulder to shoulder with Mike Castle and proclaimed him the conservative in the race.

Another thing, Doug...after listening to the constant belly aching from you and the rest over Fox coverage of Mitt, I don't think you're in a postion to accuse Palin supporters of being overly suspicious of the media.

Right Wingnut,

I'd like to see a question added to the GOP polls:

Are you familiar with former Governor Palin's HALF-TERM in office.

Does that fact that she took an oath to serve Alaska, THEN QUIT, halfway through her term make you a) more likely to vote for Palin, B) less likely........

Right Wingnut said...

Anon,

I suspect nearly all poll repondants are familiar with her resignation from office, but may not be totally familiar with the circumstances. In a campaign setting, she will have an opportunity to explain it to a larger audience.

On the other hand, I doubt even half of potential primary voters are familiar with the similarities between RomneyCare and ObamaCare. His opponents will have an opportunity to explain it to a larger audience.

RomneyCare is a much bigger problem for Romney than resigning is for Palin.

As a matter of fact, this poll is close to identical to the Quinipiac results from a day or two ago when Mitt won tied nearly every sub category.....and Palin, well.... lagged way behind ....putting it mildly.

It's sp funny that all this time you people have been screaming for them to put additional people into these polls and watch Romney's numbers go down, and then when they do you belly ache that they were put in intentionally to hurt Palin. You're so amusing.

RWN - Could you please direct me to, or post my "constatnt belly aching" regarding Fox News coverage of Romney. I'm pretty sure I didn't make a big deal out Brett Bair piece. My position rearding Fox has been how well Romney does DESPITE not being on FOX News as much as Palin, Huck or Newt. BIG difference.

I also don't look at this as the end all in polls, but it does show a level of consistancy, especially in light of their Sept poll, which had similar results.

What this poll does do however, is shoot holes into the theory Romney is an anathama to the TP and that HC is going to cripple him. Exactly when are we supposed to see this? It's not as if HC has been out of the news lately. And wasn't this poll taken AFTER the Fox News bit on Romney?
Hmmmm.......
