During November 18, 150 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders occurred at the front, almost a third of them in the Pokrov direction.
As Ukrinform reports, this is stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook about the situation as of 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18.
"In total, 150 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day... Today, Russian troops launched one missile and 33 air strikes, used one missile and dropped 62 guided bombs. In addition, they involved 2,440 kamikaze drones in the strikes and carried out 2,999 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the report says.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled two assault actions of the invaders. In addition, the enemy carried out one air strike, dropping four guided bombs, and also carried out 145 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, one of which was from a multiple launch rocket system.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units six times near Vovchansk, Kamyanka, and towards the settlement of Kolodyazne. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor carried out offensive actions four times in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Kupyansk.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces seven times in the direction of the settlements of Korovyn Yar, Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and in the direction of Oleksandrivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
Seven enemy assaults were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Slavyansk direction - the occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Serebryanka, Yampol, and in the directions of Siversk and Zvanivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice tried to break through the defense of our defenders in the direction of Bondarne and in the direction of Vyrolyubivka, but was repulsed.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Russians launched 19 offensives against the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, and towards Kostyantynivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of the day, the invaders have tried to advance on the positions of Ukrainian units 47 times. The enemy attacked in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Nove Shakhove, Chervonyi Liman, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Zvirovo, Novoekonomichne, Novopavlivka, Rivne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, Dachne. On the front, over the past 24 hours, as of the evening of November 18, there have been 150 clashes with the enemy. The most fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions, according to the Ukrainian General Staff’s Telegram.
During this period, the Russian forces used almost 2,500 kamikaze drones against Ukrainian units. Today, the Russian army also carried out one missile strike and 33 airstrikes, and dropped 62 guided bombs. As for the number of attacks on our troops’ positions and settlements, the figure reaches up to 3,000.
On Tuesday, the General Staff recognized the soldiers of the 426th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion, who effectively destroyed the enemy, inflicting significant losses in both personnel and equipment.
About the frontline situation:
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assault attempts since the start of the day. In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have attempted 47 times to advance on Ukrainian positions.
