It currently is an expensive time consuming process. Revision of the process would appeal to all people including hispanics. Illegal immigrants would still have to get in line like everyone else. This to me,sounds like a reasonable solution. I think citizenship through U.S. military service could be another option.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3571954475140446599.post-39026813976526648882012-04-16T05:22:21.551-04:002012-04-16T05:22:21.551-04:00From what I have investigated online so far-

Romney said the GOP must offer its own policies to woo Hispanics, including a Republican DREAM Act, referring to the legislative proposal favored by Democrats that would offer illegal immigrants a limited path to citizenship, to give Hispanic voters a real choice between parties.

These comments appear to be coming from crib-notes written by some reporters who were eavesdropping at a private fund-raiser. From what I gather, Romney also stated the following-

By November, the economy would trump immigration as a driving issue for Hispanic voters, and he vowed also to remind the Hispanic community that, despite promises of comprehensive immigration reform by Obama, Democrats ultimately fell short in passing legislation in their two years in control of Congress and the White House at the start of the president's term.

I am deliberately leaving out quotation marks for now until I can confirm these were his actual words. I also am using the same caution in regards to the original comments in the body of this article.Joel2012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3571954475140446599.post-41930422581578459322012-04-16T04:58:48.068-04:002012-04-16T04:58:48.068-04:00Where is the talk by Romney you are referencing? ...Where is the talk by Romney you are referencing?
