In fact, he'd do as good as most. Yes, it is true that few Senators and Congressmen become President or even VP, but last time, both major candidates were Senators.<br /><br />As for why Mr. Santorum does not run for Sentator again. To be fair, many people turn down the chance for various reasons. He Won in a GOP wave and in lost in a Democrat wave to a popular candidate in a Purplish-Blue State.
