Over and over, Romney is proven to be right. this 'rino' hunting crap is just that... CRAP. Most of those conservatives who are called 'rinos' have WON their primary's. The baggers win 2, and suddenly they are a force to be reconciled with? and I should not have to point out that in at least one of those elections, it was an open primary, where demo's voted to oust the GOP incumbent and put someone totally beatable in. Call me a 'rino' if you must. But at least MY brain cells are in the 'on' mode, and I'm not just chanting the Levine/palin/lee/cruzie crap. I know math is hard for some in our party, but Romney won by the MOST VOTES. you know, actual people going to a ballot box and casting a actual ballot.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3571954475140446599.post-64380653366044932912014-06-21T10:16:46.885-04:002014-06-21T10:16:46.885-04:00RM-as predictable as the sun rising in the east an...RM-as predictable as the sun rising in the east and still unable to grasp simple concepts. Mitt'...________________________________________
Mitt's Moment

He fixes problems; we've got 'em.
________________________________________

Mr. Romney never really fit his assigned part
as Gordon Gekko or Milburn Drysdale.
When other private equity pioneers were
turning their millions into billions,
he left to rescue the Winter Olympics.

America is not headed in 2012 for
a landmark decision on the size and
role of government. America is headed
only for a moment of recognition.
Like Greece.
Like the troubled businesses Bain overhauled.
Like the failing Salt Lake City Olympics.

There's no money to pay for bigger
and bigger government.
There's no money to pay for the government
we've already promised ourselves.

Bankrupting the nation to pay
for health care is not an option.
If we do nothing, if entitlements remain unreformed,
the money simply will be withheld to pay for them.
You'll still be entitled to that knee operation
at taxpayer expense. Good luck finding a doctor
to perform it. The WAITING list will be long.

Our world that's coming is a world of narrowing,
not widening, choices. It's a world that suits
Mr. Romney's skills and history,
his knack for operating within constraints.

Mr. Obama lives in the same world, of course,
but is unequipped to deal with it. Also, given
his inclination to seek refuge in a clueless reverie
of big new programs
at a time when the resources simply don't exist.

The consensus for painful reform comes
when the status quo hits the wall.
It's a myth that we don't know what our choices are.

That's the Romney moment. His strong suit has
always been to do what everyone else has put off.

________________________________________

Wall Street Journal December 2011

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3571954475140446599.post-60280308549471105692014-06-21T08:07:28.405-04:002014-06-21T08:07:28.405-04:00"I've been thinking about this recently. ..."I've been thinking about this recently. What kind of fool would sit out 2012?"

You'd be surprised, I bet there were certain types of people who wouldn't vote out of petty bitterness. You know, the same type who, say in 2008, threw their toys out and not only didn't vote, but voted for OB, due to their beloved getting beat handily by McCain in the primaries (and not picking their beloved as their running mate). You know, perhaps then using the 'excuse' they they are from OR and their vote would make little difference in a general.
Those types you mean?RomneyMannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3571954475140446599.post-86425638118805279312014-06-21T07:37:19.644-04:002014-06-21T07:37:19.644-04:00It appears some conservatives understand the logic...It appears some conservatives understand the logic of why voting for our candidate is so important despite reservations while others choose to remain clueless of the long term damage of their illogical actions. No conservative in their right mind would ever state that they agreed more with the incumbents political views than those our past candidates views and if they did they would be in denial. Hence, it comes down to this, selfishness. These so-called true conservatives were unwilling to look beyond their own biases and vote for the good of the nation as a whole, choosing instead to sit out this past election cycle. Call it anything you want, justify it however you want to, but in the end it comes down to one thing, selfishness. The harsh reality? They loved themselves more than their country.
