I'm a lifelong Republican, and, somewhat reluctantly became a Ron Paul supporter this January, because I believed him to be the best of an imperfect slate. I know Romney is going to win the nomination. I'd still like to see my guy win as many delegates as possible, to ensure that his ideas are taken seriously by the party at Tampa.

At least, that was my attitude coming into this thread. I am also from Minnesota, and I read the above posts. Now I finally know who all the Romney supporters in my party are: a bunch of pretentious know-nothing New Englanders who believe themselves and their pathetic inch-deep political commitments to be the cutting edge of conservatism. You are classless, small-minded trolls. I am disgusted to share membership in a party with you, and, for the first time, I begin to think the nation may benefit from the secession of the Paulites and the dissolution of the GOP -- if only because it would isolate deep-blue-state egomaniacs like you within your own impotent political enclave.

This, gentlemen of the East Coast, is how you destroy a political party: treat your proud co-partiers like trash and political idealism like a bourgeois fad.

If you object to the stereotypes above, good.
