'A Better America Begins Tonight'

"A better America begins tonight." Those words hold much promise and great encouragement. Today as I labor away in the president-eat-dog world of business I am encouraged that a good and honest man is still prefered by my fellow Americans over less worthy candidates. For a brief moment during this primary I thought Newt Gingrich was going to be the party choice and I was shocked, nay, flabbergasted, that republicans could choose an immoral, self-aggrandizing, narcissist over a more competent and tempered leader like the Governor. Romney might not be your ideal candidate but he is a wholesome and respectable person whose worst vices are Diet Coke and Chocolate Milk. He's been very successful but very generous with his money and his time. He and his wife Ann have raised a decent brood that appear to be productive members of society. He is a good moral person but unlike Jimmy Carter, another moral political figure, he has strength and wisdom. Romney has the know-how and the ability to tackle huge problems and a track record that proves it. We have ourselves a great president in the making. This year it's all about the economy and my money (literally) is on the numbers guy.

Fair or not Barack Obama has been perceived as a President that apologizes for America. At times he seems to turn his back on our great American history. Barack Obama often simplifies the past and judges our founders and forefathers with a 21st century morality. We have had our ups and downs and our highlights and our mistakes. We abided slavery in the South for far too long but we paid for that sin with over 750,000 dead Americans. I'm proud that our nation fought for the freedom of slaves with such unwavering dedication and sacrifice. It's a highlight to an otherwise gruesome part of our history. We have saved the world and humanity from tyranny many times over and helped nations throw off their oppressors. We paid for the mistakes of Europe and the world with American treasure and blood. We have made our mistakes and been on the wrong side of right on occasion but America remains the greatest force for good in the world. While most Americans believe that it seems that our President wants to throw the baby out with the bathwater at times. Like America has something to be ashamed of.
Fortunately we are built on a firm foundation. It will take more than one president to destroy our defining pillars and constitution. If we correct the problems now the foundation will remain strong and keep the country from failing. Abandon our foundation and our founding principles and the nation will surely fall. Romney is a man that understands our great history and will never apologize for it. He is proud to be an American. Today it is good to see that a moral person is still electable and preferred in our great country. Today we still have hope that "a better America begins tonight."
"I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him." -- Abraham Lincoln

  2. I have always seen the greatness in Mitt Romney. My wish is that everyone voting in November realizes how important it is that we elect Governor Romney and make him the next POTUS. Our future and our children and grandchildren's future depends upon Mitt winning this election. This article was very well written.

  5. The people who have always impressed me are those who can do several things on a high level; non-idiot-savants if you like. That's why Mitt Romney impressed me from almost the moment I first heard about him in 2007 (and yes, I fancy myself as one of those people, so...). Someone who is nice and pleasant AND school-smart AND a phenom. in business AND became a Governor of an important state AND speaks a foreign language. That's awesomely impressive. Has anyone been more qualified to be President?

I'll travel to PA if I have to work for this guy during the campaign (I'm in NY). I would also love to work for his administration (though that would be kind of a geographic and personal leap).

    This is exciting!

  6. He is a great president in the making. It's going to happen. Obama is worried and it is showing in his rhetoric. It's increasingly outlandish and farfetched. Here we are in April and Obama is already saying that Republicans and Romney want to poison children. Give it a few more moths and Obama will be telling us some really incredible whoppers and they will all start to loose their meaning. It's already happening.
