GretaWire reports that Sarah Palin ran a 1/2 marathon in Storm Lake, IA this morning. Her time? A very impressive 1:45.

ReplyDeleteI was at the Machine Shed. I was at Indianola...but I just spent about a half hour with Todd and Sarah in my hometown of Storm Lake Iowa as they snuck in for a quick marathon run!

Totally unannounced and staying very low profile. I jokingly told her, "no, no this isn't what we meant when we said 'Run Sarah run!" LOL
I couldn't fight my way through the crowds to shake her hand at the restaurant or yesterday in Indianola...so I feel so totally blessed to be able to spend so much time with them just chatting personally like regular folks. They are truly an amazing down to earth couple.
I'm trying to figure out how to get my cell phone picture into my computer.
What an amazing weekend!
As a runner myself, I will tell you that the secret service guys will not be able to keep up with her, unless they spend countless hour training for distance running.

I saw that she had a run in her stocking the other day. How can you deny that this is a clue that she is definitely running?

Sarah Palin averaged an impressive 8:00 per mile for her half marathon.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Bush was our best runner president until he had to stop because of knee problems. Bush ran 3:44.52 at the Houston marathon in the 1990's. That is a very impressive time for a marathon.

ReplyDeleteShe's an avid runner, who not long ago, ran a sub 4-hour marathon. I've talked to her about it, and the evidence is online.
